prettyfly Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 Well, I tried LaL again, and it still broke the game - Helgen was missing a chunk of the wall when I approached, and when I reloaded and re-approached, the entire forest de-spawned leaving but nothing but bare snowy ground.It then also put dozens of objects into my inventory - objects that are supposed to be world objects only like Tanning Racks, Imperial Soldiers, and an iron ore vein (?!). When I dropped them my character then grew to be about 20ft tall - it was just a clusterchuckAnd then a thirty foot tall angel wearing a snakeskin tuxedo tackled my character the ground, picked me up and through me over his head, causing me to land moments later in the DC ruins, where all of the teletubbies were being dragged along by a leash held by a bobblehead in the likeness of Joseph Stalin.Following this the thunder-birds arrived and held and intensive firefight with the bobblehead, until the teletubbies turned into ravenous dogs and lept onto all the aircraft and destroyed them. Then, a storm of corundum meteorites rained down, obscuring the screen in bright light until finally I found myself in the center of helgen again, with a deep, mocking voice telling me I was forever cursed.I mean, if he really has a game that would do that, anything could happen, right? This will mean all the work we have done to push for modding to become mainstream will be lost, and Bethesda will take quite a bad hit with their reputation for allowing it to happen.And Skyrim's modding community itself will descend into nothing more than a free-for-all melee where everyone is fair game and "respect" is considered as much a swearword as "cunt."I really do hope Bethesda gets this under control. This crap became an issue the moment Bethesda jumped into bed with Valve. Yes, the NV community had all of these same problems. It just didn't explode into the mess it is now because (thankfully) no Workshop exists for that title. If it had, I dare say that would have strongly influenced a lot of opinion against it long before Skyrim came along.@Thomas: Probably not, but Cliffworms' mod is close enough for government work in allowing you to hear weather sounds indoors. Not like the outdoor ones are loud enough to hear to being with. Even if it turned out to be possible and I figured out enough about modeling to actually do it, no way in hell I would with the current environment.
