According to Papyrus, you have several of the "Favor" quests that have somehow lost track of the property for the house purchases. These properties are present in the vanilla game and the USKP does not cause them to get removed. It strongly suggests one of the mods you have has altered the HousePurchaseScript file and has it sitting in a BSA somewhere since it's the one being reported as the wrong type. BlackPete Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 In my new game if I interrupt the shopkeepers while they are talking (e.g. drunken huntsman) and exit, they will come with me outside, saying something like "yes", "speak" etc. Is that normal? That's an engine bug. If USKP does not edit that script, somehow, you have acquired a house purchase script in the bsa by accident : Edit : Hopefully its just the one file accidently included. Arthmoor Posted February 10, 2015 Author Share Posted February 10, 2015 For the record, after the brief discussion in chat: The Papyrus log is specifically mentioning the property "HousePurchase" on several of the Favor### quests, among others. This property is defined in each of those as pointing to "HousePurchaseScript" on the HousePurchase quest. Slightly confusing, yes, but hey. HousePurchaseScript is separate from the QF_ script for the housing quest. The USKP has the QF_ for HousePurchase but *DOES NOT* have the other one. It's the HousePurchaseScript.pex file that's causing the problem. The Papyrus error is telling you that the game's esm/esp files are expecting a property the compiled script no longer has. alt3rn1ty Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 Mystery solved - Way past my bed time but it was annoying the hell out of me I had already eliminated scripts ( or hidden in BSA scripts ) as the cause, because I had none And as it turned out .. As discussed in chat .. Not due to corruption of vanilla files either ( though that would have made sense ) Nor was it any of the unofficial patches .. Whats left ? : One innocent looking 36k plugin without a bsa or loose files to accompany it .. The beta ELE Weather Lighting plugin I was searching through the huge amount of imagespaces it has earlier, but just after those It has a worldspace and sub-blocks which I did not expand far enough earlier so missed this .. But it includes references to breezehome in the test world, and most of the records within that have no data entries I dont know why exactly this is causing the problem .. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating, remove it and start from a new game again, all the way up to purchasing the house = Solved. Major apologies for any undue concern I have caused .. But no matter how I looked at it, I was repeatedly looking back at the unofficial patch updates which seemed like the only possibility. Going to give JawZ the bad news somethings up with the beta, well at least its adding to the knowledge of the community anyway Arthmoor if you need to take a look at this to determine exactly what the problem is ( and so add to the knowledgebase of things that can go wrong besides scripts causing such errors ) I will check with JawZ and then send the beta plugin to you privately .. Unless you have seen enough to know exactly what the snag would be already. He did not intend this beta to go public at all, it was just for private testing. Who would have thought a Weather Lighting plugin could cause such a problem, we live and learn. Anyway up, I dont think I have the knowledge to tell Mator anything useful regarding this apart from .. its got issues. Thats the end of my posts in this topic, I just wanted to finish it up with this post and then point Mator at it, see if he can make head or tail of what Smash is doing to make this problem manifest. All I can address for you is that the decal fix mod covers the same material Quarn handled for us in the USKP so there's no need to run it alongside. pStyl3 Posted February 20, 2015 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Rather than saying that the Distant Decal Fix should "load" before the USKP, the better terminologie would be, that the DDF should be placed above the USKP in MO's left pane (or with other words, that is has a lower priority number). The USKP overwrites a bunch of the meshes provided by DDF (as does "Vivid Landscapes" by the way), but not every single mesh. So by installing first DDF and then USKP, the meshes of DDF which are not overwriten will be used, plus USKP meshes (which will win the "conflict").
