Arthmoor
I'm using Utumno's 307 branch that he just merged your patchers into. The only thing the DLC complains about is missing strings because they put the strings inside the BA2 archive like they did with the Skyrim DLC. Sharlikran
That's not good because I highly doubt I can make Wrye read the BA2 file format. Darnet. I don't know if that's an easy fix or not.
Arthmoor
You're a step ahead of me at least, I don't even know how it currently reads BSA files Anyway, I'll post it on GitHub where it belongs.

I know Wrye Bash is written in Python, but there's a .NET/C++ library opening and extracting BA2s. You might be able to get some ideas from the source. alt3rn1ty
@zilav can you let me know where I can download the latest WIP? thanks. As noted in the first post the link to nexus page If its named FO4Edit.exe just rename it TES5Edit.exe and you have the latest version for Skyrim .. I think currently though it is named TES5Edit in the zip .. quick check confirms : ( xEdit is many tools all contained in the same exe, name it as one of the supported tools and it becomes that tool ... TES4LODGen, TES5LODGen, TES4Edit, TES5Edit, TES5View, TES5Trans, FO3Edit, FNVEdit, FO4Edit, TESDump .. plus a few others I forget just now - If you have the latest version, you have the latest version of all the others included ( though thats not to say all of them are being worked on still but the latest most bug free version will be included ) )
zilav
@zilav can you let me know where I can download the latest WIP? thanks. Do you mean the builds in general or the one with door navmesh checking in FO3/FNV? Dragonblood
fireundubh
Do you mean the builds in general or the one with door navmesh checking in FO3/FNV? He might mean the build with the latest commit... but I don't think there are nightlies?
hlp
Do you mean the builds in general or the one with door navmesh checking in FO3/FNV? There isn't one with the fixes for the 1.5 beta, I can build you a lite one from 82ed565.
Roy Batty
Yeah I was speaking of nightly/dev version. Also Jax submitted a bunch of stuff to fopdoc you haven't added yet.

Sharlikran
Zilav or Hlp what did you have to change in xEdit for Fallout 4 to read the BA2 files? I know Wrye Bash is written in Python, but there's a .NET/C++ library opening and extracting BA2s. You might be able to get some ideas from the source. That may not work because Wrye uses a DLL that WrinklyNinja wrote. However, I'll see if he has made updates or is interested in looking at that code. hlp
Zilav modified wbBSA.pas. Check TwbBA2FileRec for BA2 format.
Sharlikran
Can someone with the Automatron DLC installed go to a Clean Data folder (no mods installed) for Fallout 4 and in a CMD/DOS window and run "dir /b /s > results.txt"? Then zip up the results.txt and get me a link to the file. I want to update the Clean Data routine for Fallout 4.

Sharlikran
Here you go:Thanks. What is the meta.ini? That seems to be the only questionable file in that list.
pStyl3
It just containes these two lines: [iNI%20Tweaks]size=0 Nothing more. Sharlikran
Is it an official file? I would think it would be since that's what you're posting but, that's a weird Bethesda file to have there. Not to mention the strange contents.
zilav
I don't have meta.ini and results.txt, those are not vanilla files. So, the "clean" data folder advantage of MO is a myth? Dragonblood
Sharlikran
I don't have meta.ini and results.txt, those are not vanilla files. So, the "clean" data folder advantage of MO is a myth? results.txt is from "dir /b /s > results.txt" because you are piping the CON output to a text file. I'm just double checking meta.ini to see if it's installed by Steam.
pStyl3
results.txt comes from running Sharlikran's cmd command .. regarding meta.ini, just googled it and some MO threads came up as results, hence my thought that it "may" be MO who placed the file there. I now have removed the file from my Data folder and am trying to recreate it through using MO, to see whether or not it really is MO. Edit: Hmm .. wasn't able to 'recreate' it until now .. anyway, what zilav said then --> meta.ini doesn't count, but the rest should be legit Edit2: Now I know what happend. To test things for LOOT I temporarily copied some simple mods over to the Data directory a couple of days ago, so that MO wouldn't interfere. Once done I deleted those files once again, but apparently forgot meta.ini.
