    UFO4P breaks Nuka-World

It's a bit elitist imo to blame the PS5 users for the thing you broke still being broken. With that stance you're saying its their fault because the fix to potentially your own issue doesn't work for them. This works without the mod being installed. I have zero visibility into what originally caused it or what fixed it. All I know is what I experienced and I wanted to relay. I agree that mod support is dogswill on PS4/PS5. I have PC, but I'm playing on PS5 just from convenience. PS5 doesn't allow for audio and new scripts, correct? So was the fix readding audio/scripts that had been removed with a previous iteration? That would make sense. I'd play on Xbox but they'd have to actually get some games on there first. I'd rather play this from the comfort of my couch so, PS5. How does Xbox buy every AAA studio in existence but be lacking in exclusives? They got screwed with Redfall, I ain't stepping into that platform. The mod support for Bethesda games didn't sell me on the Xbox. PC, I get it, but just from a convenience factor I decided to play a new save on console. I agree with dropping PS4/5 support as it causes problems that can't or won't be addressed apparently. I honestly didn't think this was gonna be drama. I was trying to bring awareness so someone else doesn't get screwed. I didn't say anyone was horrible but you came at me like I was Satan for pointing out a flaw so, do with that as you will. I was discounted, blamed for causing it (as user error), and then blamed for having a ps5. Logically, from this perspective, I guess I should've known this wasn't going to work before installing. But then I'd ask why's its even up there. However, I don't think that's a fair stance to have, things should be more constructive. Edit: There was a patch today that apparently addresses mod conflicts with dlc. I'll try it later and if it resolved it, I'll update this comment. If not, have a great one.

Fallout 4 Update 1.10.984 Patch Highlights Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 Display Settings Thanks to your feedback, we’ve been able to implement the ability to control your graphic fidelity and performance. We highly recommend you run with the default settings but now you can change your options to better fit your playstyle and display. UFO4P breaks Nuka-World

Certainly tempting, but the problem isn't necessarily Sony since the bug being reported has been fixed already 5 years ago. Yes, there was a delay in being able to get updates to Playstation for awhile but that was Bethesda's website causing issues with that. As far as looking into it, we have. Numerous times. The fix we implemented is still in place. Nothing changed there. "Well you need to fix it" isn't going to change that, cause we'd fix it by doing exactly what was already done. There is no other way.

    UFO4P breaks Nuka-World

Has anyone else noticed that the common denominator in all of these UOP breaks Nuka World threads is a Playstation? Maybe the UOP isn't the problem? Maybe the root cause of the problem is Sony and their ridiculous restrictions? Why aren't Sony's users invading Sony's website, harassing Sony and Kenichiro Yoshida with their incessant complaining using a thread titled Sony breaks UOP? Maybe the problem is that Playstation users are incapable of admitting to themselves that they may have chosen the wrong platform? "I think it's at least worth looking into..." Arthmoor, I would not blame you or the UOP team if you took the decision to drop support for Playstation entirely. Some mod makers; myself included, have already dropped support for Sony and Playstation. Now our only dealings with the Playstation user community is blocking them when they come into our sites to complain about how we are horrible people for not wanting to deal with Sony and Sony's user community.

I said it was a fresh save. It was the PS4 version of the patch that was available a week or so prior to the PS5 upgrade coming out, fresh save. That save then transfered to ps5. Nothing was old. I downloaded and updated all the mods I wanted before starting the new file. If my case is niche, alright, I'll just not be a good guy during nuka world. There was a brief time period where the unofficial patch was removed because it didn't work for the PS5 version yet (like 2-3 days). Idk if that was it but I'd imagine not

It's also usually because the person reporting it was using an old version of the patch or are using it on an ancient save that predates the fix. The fix is NOT retroactive so if your save is ancient then there you go.

We have. This comes up regularly, but we fixed it in 2019. I'm not sure what more people expect us to do given that it's been fixed.

I made an account to relay that I also have this problem. I have other mods but no other mod has been reported as ever causing this. I'm using it on console, maybe it's a console problem. Before the PS5 upgrade I see people reporting this as soon as 2 months ago on reddit. You cannot talk to N.I.R.A, a large chunk of non-Raider NPCs, or anyone in the market. I had a fresh save, with this mod already on and they won't speak. I tried loading a save, from before nuka world, and disabled the mod. They still won't speak. I haven't been able to test with a fresh, pure save. I think it's at least worth looking into...

    Bring Out Your Dead

The only reason it didn't do this already is because people like yourself keep nagging mod authors to continue offering support for a game version Bethesda stopped supporting themselves over 2 years ago. 1.5 is dead. You missed the funeral. It's time to get over it and move on. And yet here you are, trying to keep the ideological battle going when the SE community has decided that it's no longer worth fighting and everyone moved on. Nope. I think it's a far smaller number of people than you're willing to admit to, as evidenced by pretty much every major mod having long since been updated and their authors moving on.
  19. Galishai

    Bring Out Your Dead

While correct, it still does not make the versions obsolete. Also, modding is much more like enterprise software than you might realize. Anyone who is modding the game often has hundreds of mods which themselves are dependent on other mod. They also have a wide variety of tools they use to manage these mods. This is an ecosystem and that ecosystem does not turn on a dime the day the software vendor releases a new version. It can takes months or years for the ecosystem to catch up... just like it is doing with Skyrim SE. Microsoft supported Windows 7 for just over 10 years. They did not stop supporting Windows XP when Windows 7 came out. During that time, Windows 8 and Windows 10 were both released. Microsoft supported those versions all in parallel, just like many modders are doing with 1.5.97, Steam and GOG versions of Skyrim SE. 1.5.97 did not reach it's end of life when the next version was released. It reached it's end of life when all the major mods people wanted to use were able to move to the new versions. For me, No Grass In Objects was the one I was waiting for, and now it has an update that would allow me to move my main play instance to the newest release. It's a desired quality for a larger number of people than you may want to admit. Look at the current Fallout issues now. They just wanted to play, not be a part of some ideological battle. What is obsolete is the version that broke many things for many people who just wanted to game. But I appreciate your time. I'm going to go play with my mods now. Enjoy the rest of your day.

    Bring Out Your Dead

This isn't an Enterprise operation. Nobody's life is on the line when the software updates. Microsoft doesn't continue to offer support and updates for XP or Windows 7. You are essentially trying to get us to do what even the operating system vendor itself won't do. Software reaches end of life. Even in mission critical apps. Updates are the natural course of things. No. It's a desired quantity for a vanishingly small number of people who hate everything Bethesda does. You may as well just delete the game and go play something else. You aren't going to get people to continually provide support for a dead branch of the game no matter how much you might want that. Nobody has time for that.
  21. No, it isn't. There are no verifiable claims of this being the case and what little information has made its way to us suggests these people are using mods that are breaking their precombs. THAT is what's ultimately causing their stuttering. Then they compound their problems by removing things from the game. Their saves end up toast. Somehow we then get blamed for it when nobody can actually verify this has anything to do with us at all. Chances are Bethesda themselves will have been to blame for any issues relating to stuttering and NPCs so we'll see what happens come Monday when they update the game again. If they really have done something that causes NPCs to do this on consoles, then IMO that effectively kills any form of NPC modding on consoles. Combined that with the data file mismatches for Far Harbor and you have an excellent reason for PC modders to stop supporting console modding if things continue to drift away like this.
  22. Is it true? UFO4P is behind the freezes and low fps on next gen patch?

Wyre Bash not letting me use custom mod

Okay, this is embaressing. Turns out, this whole time I forgot to click OK when making changes. There is definatley egg on my face, sorry everybody. With that being said, thank you all so much for trying to help and problem solve with me, I apprciate your patience and support. I'll make sure to name some of the background DLC NPCs after you. Again, thank you all for being an understanding and wonderful community.

    Whistling Mine

I really love this add-on, I hadn't thought about where those poor miners were living out in the middle of nowhere. All your mods are not only lore-friendly, but actually make sense and improve the lives of the NPCs, which is wonderful. Thank you! It looks great in my game and doesn't conflict with Northern Roads clutter.

    Bring Out Your Dead

Yes people have it but asking for it here will end up getting you banned. Unless you are looking for versions which support the newest versions of Skyrim SE, you will want to ask elsewhere.
  26. Galishai

    Bring Out Your Dead

With respect, having an older stable version to use does not make it obsolete. In the enterprise software world, companies pay literally millions of dollars for such things as they are a known quantity. 1.5.97 is that known quantity for many people.
  27. The main thread for all of my sound design mod projects for Skyrim! The aim of my collection is to target the creature sounds in the game, giving players a compact, easy upgrade to the creature sounds in the game. Since all of my mods only replace the original audio files as opposed to adding new audio files via the Creation Kit, they will work seamlessly both in the Legendary Edition and in the Special Edition of Skyrim, since the audio file paths are identical. Nevertheless, I will provide download links to both versions. Needless to say, I'm open to feedback and requests, and I'll gladly hear out what fellow gamers and modders have to say. Dragon Sound Overhaul (SSE)

    Version 1.0.0

    0 downloads

Dragon Sound Overhaul To be perfectly frank, I was never a fan of most of the vanilla dragon roars. They kept reusing the same old elephant sounds that you hear in every single film released after the 90s, and it felt neither imposing, nor unique. This was rather jarring, considering the dragons are a massive part of Skyrim and the largest and most menacing creatures in the game. Therefore, I resolved to use my sound design skills to rectify this issue. What does this mod entail? It's a complete redesign of all dragon vocalizations in the game. Foley and firebreathing sounds are not included, but depending on my interest, or more importantly, the community's, I might add my own takes on such sounds in a future version! Used various sounds from sound effects libraries to create a unique set of sounds: no copyrighted material here! Sourced from various animals (big cats, bears, pigs, alligators, non-generic elephants and even birds like geese and cockatoos) and a few known monster sounds. If you still need convincing, here's a small taste of what the mod has to offer! Hope you like it enough to use it in your game! Stay tuned for more creature sound overhauls!
