These files are no longer available for download - please use the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch instead.

Requires Skyrim version 1.9.32.0.8 or greater and the official Hearthfire DLC.

This mod is an effort to fix the vast amount of bugs currently existing in Hearthfire. If you're experiencing a bug with Hearthfire, please report the bug to us in as much detail as possible on the USKP bugtracker. Please use search to ensure that you aren't submitting something that is already there. Use the "Hearthfire DLC" option to tag your report for Hearthfire. Please also confirm that the bug you are reporting happens with no mods other than the unofficial patches installed. A lot of Skyrim bugs are actually the result of other mods doing things they're not supposed to. Thank you and we hope you have a better Skyrim experience!

A special note for reporting placement errors for Hearthfire. Due to the nature of the mod, the CK is bogged down with hundreds of references overlapping each other visually. It is impossible to do placement corrections without a form ID for the reference you're reporting. Please include this information in any placement error reports. From this point forward, any bugs submitted to the tracker without this information will be closed without investigation. Any posts to the forums without this information will be ignored. There simply isn't any other feasible way to fix these. Thank you for understanding.

Audio Fixes

  • The player's adopted children would attend the player's wedding, but they had no dialogue recorded; created new dialogue lines for them (Sound/Voice/Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp/FemaleChild/Relationsh_RelationshipMar_0004CC90_1.fuz, Sound/Voice/Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp/FemaleChild/Relationsh_RelationshipMar_0004CC91_1.fuz, Sound/Voice/Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp/MaleChild/Relationsh_RelationshipMar_0004CC90_1.fuz, Sound/Voice/Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp/MaleChild/Relationsh_RelationshipMar_0004CC91_1.fuz).


Script Fixes

  • BYOHRelationshipAdoptionChildScript: Using EquipItem() and RemoveItem() along with SetOutfit() is redundant and can lead to inventory duplication. SetOutfit() already takes care of removing the relevant items. The script was also erroneously setting the sleep outfits instead of the normal ones.

I have some questions/issues about Erik the Slayer being a steward for Hearthfire. (1) I don't know if he should be on the list of potential stewards to begin with, because he is a mercenary for hire

The cellar mannequin in Lakeview Manor has an appetite for armour. I placed a full set of Elven armour on the mannequin and when I returned, all that was left was the shield. Fortunately I had tons of the stuff after a run in with the Thalmor, so I tried again. I placed all the stuff on the mannequin, went upstairs and when I came back down it was gone again - except the shield. I have added the enchanter's tower and the alchemy laboratory.

You sure you don't have a loose mannequin script hanging around somewhere in the Data folder? A few other scattered reports of this have come in, but I can't reproduce it. I'll check your saves in a bit, but someone else sent me some too and I wasn't able to duplicate the issue then either even though this person swore up and down it was happening. We'll ignore that the person's save had about 100 mods attached :P

I've been told that a lot of mods using mannequins may have blindly incorporated SLuckyD's buigware patch for this, and that's not something that will play nice with HF.

I don't think so. I've never loaded any kind of mannequin mod. They aren't a priority for me. I was trying to use it in this case to store the armour I had intended to improve. I just wound up using a chest instead.

This mannequin likes to go for little walks too, although he doesn't go far. :lmao:

Another thing I've seen mentioned is that removing the workbenches fixes some issues. I still have the workbench in the cellar where this mannequin is. I have removed the workbench in the enchanting addition - I could see if that mannequin works.

I've got one that's probably more of an enhancement request than a bug report. Could you change the Mounted Bear head so that it will accept cave bear pelts as well? I think I'm going to have to buy a bear pelt if I want this trophy because my guy is well past the level where I encounter regular bears.

I haven't tried using my mannequins again yet.

Still waiting on my test house to finish the armory. Apparently in a fit of immersion and realism, asking your steward to buy all the furnishings actually takes several days to stock instead of being instantaneous :P

My regular guy has loads of stuff in his armory though and has yet to have any get lost. So I'm at a loss until my test guys can get to this. You're positive you haven't got loose mannequin scripts lying about?

Changing the bear pelts is probably not a bug :P

99.9% certain. What would I look for? Also I don't have the armoury or trophy room addition. I'm just using the mannequins in the cellar or the main hall. I have the alchemy, enchanting and kitchen additions. I haven't tried the mannequin in the enchanting wing yet.

I don't know why I still encounter regular wolves but not regular bears. Just cave bears. Not a bug perhaps, but quite limiting.

I've managed to fix this. The mannequin script is a disastrous mess, even with Bethesda's attempt to fix it.

It required a rewrite, and while I was doing so it occurred to me that there's nothing special about the version they shipped with Hearthfire other than poor Daryl trying to get the thing to stop being stupid.

Anyway, all fixed now:

No more armor duplication when adding things.

No more armor that fails to display after being added and returning to the cell later.

No more wandering about the cell.

Player cannot accidentally place more on the mannequin than it has slots to hold things for, which would have caused the item to be unrecoverable.

Cleared out all the junk comments that were making this a nightmare to read and debug.

Automatically updates all mannequins as they are loaded.

In the process of testing this though, it also came to my attention that a good number of the mannequins in the HF houses are not properly linked up to their XMarkers so they'd reload standing off their pedestals. I'll have to fix THAT now too, and do you have any idea how much of a pain in the ass it is to do that with how HF is set up? :P

Hell, I might even have to go back into the USKP and make sure all of the vanilla mannequins are linked to their XMarkers too.

Incidentally, the mannequin your guy was standing in front of had ALSO been afflicted by the item duplication bug. The mannequin should have been carrying two full sets of armor, yet refused to yield either one until I hacked away at all this.

I've since discovered that several of my own mannequins in my games have suffered from the same sorts of duplication glitches, and I suspect plenty of other people have too. The unmodified Bethesda scripts were THAT bad. How they didn't notice this is beyond me.

Excellent!! I just replied to your thread on Beth saying that other than this issue, I'm not currently affected by the bugs the beta addresses. All I can report is that the beta hasn't changed anything for me, which is good. :)

And yeah, I've noticed the mannequins like to wander, which is actually pretty creepy. So far I've managed to keep from fireballing one of them. :D

As I said on Beth, it looks like the mannequins are fixed. Although now duplicate items are showing up in my inventory! First, a complete set of Elven armour popped up. After I moved that to my Bag of Holding, now another set of gauntlets and boots have shown up. Is this related to the mannequin bug fix? It was a complete set of Elven armour that I originally stored in the mannequin. Although I thought it was just one set.

I've enabled logging so I'll have a look for any bugs in my Papyrus logs.

I don't see how that could even be possible. The only place in the scripts that could add something to your inventory is if you were trying to add something to a mannequin and it either has one of those already or all the slots are full.

Doesn't make it any less odd, especially when it was your guy I got the first consistent trial runs from. Only then did I follow on with my other testbed group and was able to confirm the same consistent results.

I'll have to throw it at my main game now and see what comes of that since my Argonian has an armory full of stuff on the mannequins already.
