Just a reminder - if you are using SFSE and any mods requiring it, when the game updates upon the release of Shattered Space, SFSE will NOT work (nor the mods requiring it) until it is updated to work with the new game version. Also, any mods which use it and are version dependent, will also need to be updated before they will work again. So, be forewarned.

There are apparently some issues as regards accessing Bethesda servers when launching Starfield.  This is not all that unusual (it is seen quite often in the Steam Skyrim Special Edition forum that people ask about this) - you just need to keep trying. (The game can still be played, you just will not be able to access anything as regards Creations.)

There is, in fact, a thread about not being able to connect to the servers in the Steam SSE forum right now, so it is not something solely concerning Starfield, but is affecting other games, as well (probably system wide at Bethesda's end).

A lot of people seem to be oblivious to the fact that the east coast got hit by a hurricane and the remnants are still traveling up the coast from where it made landfall in Florida. No doubt this is having a negative effect on things and Bethesda obviously can't do anything about it.

Shattered Space DLC is now available for download.

If the game fails to launch after the update and Shattered Space DLC install, first try validating the game files - a number of people had similar issues and upon validating, the game reacquired 7 files, and then started. At least that is the first thing you should try.
