BlackPete Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 https://afktrack.afkmods.com/index.php?a=issues&i=34130 It's possible the fix for this issue was mistakenly left out when Garth's Unofficial Creation Club Patch content was transferred to USSEP. A change log entry for v4.2.7 indicates that it was fixed at some point.
Arthmoor Posted July 12, 2024 Author Posted July 12, 2024 USSEP Version 4.3.2 has been released for public beta. Second post has the details. I'd like to draw particular attention to the first listed issue - the lowercase filenames.About a month ago I had a brief conversation with a user who goes by "RacerBG" on the LOOT server. They mentioned that on Steam Deck and linux systems, dealing with the mixed case filenames many mods expect to see, using various tools and managers on these platforms becomes a nightmare because their filesystems are all case sensitive. So "Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp" is not the same thing to them as "unofficial skyrim special edition patch.esp". Since many of the users on both of these platforms will be using things downloaded from Bethesda.net, and Bethesda.net does everything in lowercase filenames, we made the decision to go ahead and set the filenames to all lowercase. On a Windows system, this will make no difference at all as NTFS is case-insensitive and Microsoft likely has no plans to change this. What would be greatly appreciated is if folks who are setting USSEP as a master could set that up with an all lowercase filename to point to as this will make things a lot easier in the long run. It's a big ask, but I'm sure players on those platforms would greatly appreciate the effort. I intend to start the process of doing this with all of my own mods as well and will make this an exception to the normal update routine and include my Nexus downloads in this so as not to leave inconsistent distributions lying around. jbrianj 1

In doing a rename utility for the Skyrim directories, do the My Games\Skyrim\.. ones have to be included? Looks like it's set up a bit differently, so maybe not.
Arthmoor Posted October 14, 2024 Author Posted October 14, 2024 USSEP 4.3.3 is now available. First post has the details.

Arthmoor Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 USSEP 4.3.4 is now in beta, second post has the details. We're expecting at minimum to have this available as a beta for a week, if not longer, given the number of changes. The more eyes on this, the better.
Psyber Raven Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I'm trying to get the version 4.34a update on my Xbox One, but using the Creations menu and clicking on update nothing happens. I've tried the "update all creations" option, and that downloads ussep, but it's still version 4.34 and ussep remains "recently updated" in the Creations menu. Is this a server problem with Bethesda, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance for the help!
Arthmoor Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 The game menu has a nasty tendency to not provide a progress bar for downloads, which can leave you guessing on something of any significant size. If you've got slow internet, that just makes things even worse. I'd try it again and either hope you get a progress bar or just wait for awhile for it to download. If that doesn't end up working you'll need to report the issue to Bethesda because it'll be a server side issue.
Psyber Raven Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Thanks, Arthmoor. One question: once the update's installed, in my load order the USSEP should be "version 4.3.4a" rather than "version 4.3.4", right? In other words, the "a" will be there?
Arthmoor Posted February 24 Author Posted February 24 It should. If that's not the case then it's not downloading the correct file.
Psyber Raven Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Waiting a while worked. Never got a progress bar, but after about 30 minutes, 4.3.4a had downloaded. Installed it and all seems well. BTW, I had also submitted a ticket to Bethesda and based on their reply they didn't understand what I was talking about. Sure glad you're here, Arthmoor!
z929669 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I'm finding that many object bounds have been changed in 4.3.4a since v4.3.3 (books, containers, flora, static, weapons, armor, etc.). Some revert to vanilla and some are unique, but I'm not finding mention in the changelogs. Just checking if it's intentional before I think too much more about it.
Arthmoor Posted February 25 Author Posted February 25 Those are caused by the CK when the file gets saved. It's completely random and beyond our ability to control. The good thing is that it won't really affect anything.
Arthmoor Posted June 22 Author Posted June 22 USSEP 4.3.5 has entered public beta. There's a lot to consume with this one, second post has the details. Several things will need to be looked at before going live, especially to make sure the lighting fixes haven't done something unexpected. We anticipate this taking until at least the end of June, targeting a possible 4th of July go-live.
Arthmoor Posted Thursday at 06:26 PM Author Posted Thursday at 06:26 PM USSEP 4.3.5 is now live. Enjoy!
