Cutting Room Floor 3.1.16

About This File

A content restoration mod for Skyrim and the official DLCs.

From the depths of the ether, or just the cutting room floor, comes forth several NPCs, some quests, and other miscellaneous content which was created but never implemented in the game. If ever you had the feeling that Skyrim was missing something, you were probably right! This mod should relieve a bit of that. Villages that were supposed to exist have been brought back. Quests that were partially implemented have been completed. Various items have been restored that were still in the data files. NPCs have been brought back to the game and given homes where appropriate. Plus plenty of other random bits of stuff that was mentioned in the game but didn't exist yet.

NPCs were implemented using the list available on the UESP: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Unused_NPCs
Unimplemented quests were seeded by the following list on UESP: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Unfinished_Quests
Some unimplemented items have been added from the following UESP list: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Unobtainable_Items

Requires the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to be installed first!

What's New in Version 3.1.16

Released

Synced with latest USSEP fixes.
The female farmer, "Jen" should likely have been a male farmer named "Jens" since the key originally made for this NPC was marked that way. Jens is a common Scandinavian male name. (Bug #32902)
Dawnguard added a second map marker for the Windhelm Docks which was never enabled, even though it's referenced by the Ferry travel system.
Thanks to Robert, a bit of navmesh trimming was done in Frost River, Heljarchen, and Stonehills.

Is there an archive so that those of us who want to stay on 1.5.97 can use? And which version would I need?

Question, did you moved Cutting Room Floor to afk mods because Nexus disables the feature to delete the file from their Website? So if you get like legal issues from bethesda for using their files, that you are save by having the ability to remove it from my understanding (nothing wrong with that). Am i right or does it have other reasons?

Oh and can i install the zip by draging it into the Vortex launcher + will it detect patches that i will need for it too like it did where i got the file from nexus last time?

Would you be willing to add the version number to the zip name so we can see if our version in Vortex is outdated?

Usually I'd rely on Vortex telling me a mod is outdated.

1. No, there is no approved archive for 1.5.97. If you want that, download it from Nexus since that copy will not be getting updated again unless they change their policy. Which leads into....

2. Yes, CRF will no longer be getting updated on Nexus because of their refusal to comply with mod author rights to delete copies of their work.

3. Sure, I can have a number included in the filename the next time this gets updated.

you just press download file on the side of the mod page, then the zip file you downloaded, you drag into the middle button corner of vortex where it says "drop files here" dont worry its super easy.

they wanna take modders work and use as thier own assets to make more money, indirectly, but that is the purpose, using collections to get new players into using nexus more. nexus was perfect as it was. this was just a damn moneygrab. its not by chance that the second news after that fiasco was that they changing the payment options to the site, so you no longer can become lifetime user, and you have to pay each month.

Will this need an RS Children Overhaul patch? Or 3DNPC or Northborn or AI Overhaul? For AE? Thanks!

Hello Arthmoor, Im currently doing testing with AE, may I have a confirmation that this would work with AE since Im not sure all the places on the map would not conflict with your mod.

Thanks

I'd refer you over to this post: https://www.afkmods.com/index.php?/topic/5954-skyrim-anniversary-edition-and-you/

Mainly because there is no distinction between "SE" and "AE" as far as most mods are concerned.

The short answer though is, yes, it works with the current update for SE and the USSEP.

Thank you for the link and response. I just ask because I thought meshes would be safe to install in AE but I found out that Majestic Mountain has a conflict with AE.

What is the majestic mountain conflict with AE?

Ah - it is this: "Entrance for Bloodchill Cavern on AE is blocked by this mod." (via MM page) This was an issue between bloodchill and Inigo actually, not MM, and SSE's hotfix should have fixed it. But I am seeing reports it has not as of the 18th. If there is a issue, it is between MM and Inigo, probably.

I am sorry that this is probably not a very smart question, but I installed updated CRF manually after uninstalling and old CRF version from NMM. Dropped the files in Data and hit 'replace' just as the instructions said. Those instructions said to activate with your client of choice but mine (NMM) only has the outdated CRF listed (which I uninstalled to make room for the updated CRF).

Hello Arthmoor, I uninstalled " cutting room" because I had installed the wrong version.
Now I install the correct one and the save don't work.

It's possible do something?

Hi Arthmoor, Sorry to be a bother - but the Nexus page is in fact updated now. I can find no source for 3.1.10, the last update for SSE, in my understanding.

I do not wish to start a new game - so am waiting to update to AE. I am on 3.1.9, but the Changelog seems to indicate that 3.1.10 has quite a few fixes. Hoping to find it - this mod, like so many of yours, is simply indispensable...

Edit: found it in Russian only. Would love it in English.
