About This File

Skyrim's courier is an industrious young lad who can be seen all over the province, yet doesn't seem to have anywhere to live and/or work. He seems able to find you at will, but what if you wanted to find HIM? Even if it would be a meaningless encounter, one should still expect a living breathing NPC that takes part in the world to have some place to work at and call home. No longer will the poor courier simply be dragged from his mystery cell and dropped in front of you to make his deliveries. Thus is born the Provincial Courier Service.

This mod is a simple immersion/realism mod that provides a small shack outside of Whiterun along the main road, next to Honningbrew Meadery.

What This Mod Does

* Provides a home for Skyrim's default courier NPC who hands out letters for various quests.
* Courier deliveries will now occur in person nearly anywhere in Skyrim.
* Optional home delivery service will instead deliver messages to one vanilla or DLC house that you own.
* Can also approach the courier at his office and receive mail deliveries there.

Speak to the courier to set up your options. Until this is done, the courier will seek you out to deliver messages in person.

Requires the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to be installed first!

You should generate your Occlusion.esp file with ALL the mods you are using ingame activated (and in the exact same order), and that was obviously NOT the case (I also had this issue more than once).

Look at my load order in this screenshot (right click and open in a new tab for zooming/better visibility): My occlusion file has PCS as a master, the record I mentioned has been correctly ported in it, and everything is working fine.

You are thus having the default XLCN subrecord from Cell ref 0000063B (WhiterunLocation instead of ARTHPCSCourierServiceExteriorLocation). Without this subrecord, the courier AI cannot compute/process...

I appreciate you keeping this mod around and up to date, but would you be willing to keep the previous version available for GOG versions of Skyrim and USSEP until it's updated too?

Hello, is this compatible with the EasT Empire creation? Seems to be at the same spot of the East Empire camp...

Someone who has the EEE showed me a pic from the CK. The camp is effectively surrounding the courier's office. So no, they're not compatible as-is.

Since PCS will load later than EEE, it means PCS will assert its location and navmesh changes to the cell. That's likely to break EEE in unknown ways.

For whatever reason my couriers stopped delivering mail. Been playing this game since 2012 and never had problem with couriers before. Started new game and still had issue. Found this mod and wallah...fixed. The courier delivered all 6 mail I was missing to catch me up. Fine job mod author. Thank you.

Hi all! I was wondering it were permissable for someone to make a patch for this mod and the East Empire Expanded CC content? There's some minor clipping with a hay pile and a bonfire is right near the courier's house. Can't stand to think of that hard-working dude losing his home. Thanks!
