Whistling Mine 2.0.8

About This File

A simple village expansion for Whistling Mine.

It always seemed odd to me that an established mine with an active smelter had no place for the people there to live. Whistling Mine is cold, and inhospitable. Nobody in their right mind would actually sleep there! This mod solves that oddity by providing a small village for the 4 NPCs to live in and spend some time in. Cause who wants to spend their lives living in the mine they work in!

It was also somewhat strange that Winterhold Hold had nothing but a single half ruined town in it.

* All added houses are radiant quest enabled, so you may get Companions missions and anything else that's properly configured to use NPC homes for quests.
* LOD has been generated for the area, including trees that account for the changes.

Requires the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to be installed first!

What's New in Version 2.0.8

Released

The .esp and .bsa files have been changed to lowercase filenames. This is to help facilitate universal filename compatibility for Steam Deck and regular linux users whose file systems are case sensitive. Many of them make use of the in-game menu to download mods and Bethesda.net ALWAYS downloads in lowercase. For the benefit of people using linux or the Steam Deck, it would be greatly appreciated if any mods which currently use PCS as a file dependency change the case of that dependency in their master lists. I can't seem to avoid having a seam in snow texture with this little village being in my load order. Tried several snow texture mods already but the seam behind buildings is quite noticeable. Any way to fix that with SSEEdit?

I really love this add-on, I hadn't thought about where those poor miners were living out in the middle of nowhere. All your mods are not only lore-friendly, but actually make sense and improve the lives of the NPCs, which is wonderful.  Thank you!  It looks great in my game and doesn't conflict with Northern Roads clutter.

I've downloaded the file for this. Do I extract all the file contents into Skyrim/Data?

You can do that but you'll need to activate the mod as well. It's usually best to install mods with a mod manager of some sort.

Just downloaded. MO2 says: "Missing Masters: _ResourcePack.esl." Game crashes on menu without it; not sure where to find it, or if this dependency is an error.

Update your game to 1.6.1170. That's how you get it.
