Mod Aliases that break Quests (article by Kuertee)

An interesting article posted two hours ago by Kuertee, which explains that Actors' Force Greet packages may fail if they are added to an Alias. Even a popular and polished mod like Wet and Cold is affected.

 

I don't know if it may be useful or if it's already old information for you guys.

It's definitely a bit of a mess considering there may be vanilla quests borking other vanilla quests by doing the same kinds of things.

 

I'm hoping we already mitigated the worst offenders in the USKP/UDGP with regard to dragon attacks and vampire attacks. Those are highly disruptive events that have already been known to break Blood on the Ice and Forsworn Conspiracy. As if either one of those quests needed more problems

Hello, i am sorry to bother but this post is probably the only reference / search match i found so far regarding a little issue i have in the Forsworn Conspiracy Quest

Basicly everything goes fine till the point i confront Nepo and kill him (and his bodyguards). Once i have done that i can't exit the house (unless i use "coc" command on console) and i can't save the game. Doing either of those action will produce a CTD.

If i get inside Nepo's house but do not speak to him everything keeps working fine. Apparently something happens once they become hostile and game breaks

 

Is this topic related? If so, how can i fix it?

Edit: The crash happens when i try to save or load a game (when exiting nepo's house the game tries to save). Always AFTER the dialogue happens , before that everything is fine.

 

Edit2: I just tried to complete the other branch of the quest (find evidence about thonar) and i had the same result. After his employees turn hostile and kill his wife i cant save the game, else is CTD
