BlackPete Posted March 3 Posted March 3 As a vampire you supposedly have a 100% resistance to poison, yet creatures like frostbite spiders and chaurus can still poison you causing health damage. To clarify, the UI tells you that you've been poisoned and the active effects list also indicates that this is occurring. Does 100% poison resistance not actually mean immunity to it? In contrast, I know 100% resistance to disease for vampires actually does make you immune to it. This topic has undoubtedly been brought up before, but I haven't been able to find any past discussions on it. Also, I don't see anything in the change log or tracker for USSEP about it.
TheCoolCrushIceKiller Posted March 10 Posted March 10 No idea about vanilla but with Sacrosanct it does indeed give you 100% poison resistance, also with USSEP on PS4 with perhaps a vampire mod active or not, I turned into a vampire right before fighting Nimhe and it helped tremendously in terms of resisting the poison effect, being immune or near immune to it.
TheCoolCrushIceKiller Posted Friday at 05:09 AM Posted Friday at 05:09 AM (edited) https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Resist_Poison Resist Poison is capped at 85%; i.e., you cannot gain poison immunity Vampires, Draugr, and Ash Spawn DR have 100% resistance. Resistance for the Dragonborn is capped at 85%, possibly undermining the value of resistances greater than this. Edited Friday at 05:21 AM by TheCoolCrushIceKiller Clarification
BlackPete Posted Saturday at 03:44 AM Author Posted Saturday at 03:44 AM (edited) Thanks for providing that information. You're right, the poison damage for the Dragonborn is quite minimal as a vampire but is still there. A resistance of 85% sounds about right considering the amount of health damage being taken from poisonous creatures. Edited Saturday at 03:45 AM by BlackPete
