They also run from danger not towards it. Most predators will ignore them. (I know the last is not realistic, but I like a peaceful ride. ) Cleaned with XEdit, meshes optimized with SE Nif opt Load order: -- Load this after all horse related mods. Not compatible with Immersive Horses, needs a patch for that, something I don’t have the time to make. If someone wants to make a patch, feel free. Just let me know so I can link it here. No uploads to other sites without express permission. You may not upload this mod to the Nexus so please don’t bother to ask. There is an xbox version on Bethesda.net, and the Oldrim or Classic Skyrim version on Steam. There are 6 free stallions and 7 free mares with their foals you can find. The added stables have clues (letters and/or journals) -- look inside the tent on the table. (if you don't see anything there, check the stable owner's chest or knapsack.) A couple of the vanilla stables have clues too -- look for a strongbox outside the stable owner's house called 'Letters'. (You can take any clues you find without stealing.) All the mares and stallions have papers and a short explanation as to why they're abandoned. Most of them also have leveled and unique items on or near their deceased owners or deceased owner's knapsacks. Most of the horses only have one clue, a couple have clues that lead you to more clues if you need them. Mares and foals will follow each other and should be together. Search the area the clue indicates/states. Horses sometimes rush away from danger. I'm working on a horse mod, part of it will be to make the second horse at each stable purchasable. I've finally gotten it to the point where the new dialogue line (where you choose your horse color) shows up and that the correct horse is purchased with each line. I now have two problems; One: when I purchase the default player horse first, then I can no longer purchase the newly available one, the game still reads it as if there are no more horses for sale. My second problem is that the line the horse merchants say when there is no more horses, doesn't appear. After asking to buy a horse they respond with the yes line and then the conversation cuts out, they are supposed to use the line where they say no more horses are available. The NPCs don't use any custom dialogue, I am copying the vanilla dialogue for everything except after the newly added horse choice, thy don't say anything there as it should direct straight to the accept line. I have also not yet pointed the dialogue for the duplicated lines yet. Horse Overhaul.7z
