About This File

A village in the mountains southeast of the city of Dawnstar.

Tamriel has had many villages on maps for as far back as anyone can remember. What happened to them all? Nobody really knows. This mod is simply my take on bringing one back from Elder Scrolls: Arena. Helarchen Creek was a small village in the game somewhere in the mountains near Dawnstar. Originally it appears as though Bethesda planned to put this around the Nightgate Inn, but then changed the name on that and cut the content. Some further research using old Arena maps placed the village further north anyway, so here it is.

* Two of the NPCs can be married and will optionally share their homes with you.
* All added houses are radiant quest enabled, so you may get Companions missions and anything else that's properly configured to use NPC homes for quests.
* LOD has been generated for the area.

Requires the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to be installed first!

Blacksmith does not act as trading NPC and only mumble generic responses. Alchemist working fine though.

Hey Arthmoor, have you ever thought about an alternative version of this town placed near Nightgate Inn like Bethesda initial plan, or near Heljarchen Hall which may be the most explicit reference to it in game? I know you chose the location based on the original Arena map, but if even Markarth (Side) and many other forts changed position drastically, why not this one? 😉

Heljarchen and Helarchen Creek are two different locations. So you have this mod, which is on its own in the wilderness near Dawnstar, and then there's Helarchen, which has been restored in Cutting Room Floor.

Thanks for the answer! Makes sense. Although I've always believe they were the same place, based on some other places that just changed the way they're written, like Falkreath / Falcrenth.

I've never tried CRF, I'll give it a try.

(and sorry for late reply, I've been far from Skyrim these last months)
