Octopuss
There's this cool Skyrim mod JDR soundtrack compilation which consists of wav files, and which the author obviously never will update again. I don't like the idea of the game having to load tens of MBs huge files (I assume it wastes memory which could be used better by the game), so I'd like to convert them. I don't know crap about modding though, and I have no idea whether I need to do anything special. Obviously I'd have to convert the files into the format Skyrim uses by default, and then edit the mod's plugin somehow. The question is, will it be enough to just change the file names in TES5Edit? zilav
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32075/ No need to rename anything in TES5Edit, sound/music file extensions are interchangeable.
Octopuss
Oh, ok. I thought that if the plugin specifically looked for .wav files and the folders only contained .xwm, it would be a problem.
alt3rn1ty
The one I used for Kill The Orchestra was this one - Skyrim Sound Tools I think though that it is probably based on the same thing, xWMAencode/decode. Anyway there's a few more instructions in the description here which may be helpful.
