For anyone else waiting for better improvements to No Mans Sky, the Atlas Rises update has been announced https://www.nomanssky.com/atlas-rises-update/ For me this makes NMS everything I wanted it to be, the Pathfinder and Foundation updates were good additions, but this looks like the icing on the cake. Just hope the performance has improved since the last update went a bit downhill in that department. There are hints in these notes that it is not the final update too. Currently the Internal depot has been updated today (about 2 hours ago) https://steamdb.info/app/275850/depots/ I expect GOG will (as usual) be the last to receive an update to the manual update files .. Worth the wait though to avoid installing GOG Galaxy client, which also disables any multi-player / server interaction which needs the client to work (now that there is a sort of multi-player element to the game, not my cup of tea) So usually there would follow an experimental beta for public testing, but I think this one will go straight into a full Public release, followed by a few patches as the public find the inevitable system quirks they cannot test and anticipate for. Anyone interested in getting the game for PC : GOG - https://www.gog.com/game/no_mans_sky Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/275850/No_Mans_Sky/ Also on XBone and PS4

My new Gek settlement on one of my favorite planets. Yeah, I know, I'm obsessed with naming stuff after TES locations. Jorunn's Stand is the base in the background, Darkwater Crossing is what I named the settlement, and it's on a planet I named Eastmarch. I may have a problem :P -

My base in No Man's Sky. Pretty much a planetary paradise. The only thing that could make it better was if there was large bodies of water. -

Found a nice little island to build yet another base on in the Eissentam Galaxy, which is loaded with lush worlds. I also managed to figure out how to trick the game to let me use foundation struts for the bridges instead of a massive pile of cuboid foundation parts that waste resources. -

After I spotted a cave near Fort Worthy Meade one day, I realized it's actually an extensive network of underground caves which I then connected with several tunnels. The shot of my landing pad doesn't begin to do this one justice. It's close enough to the fort that both bases actually overlap each other a bit and are now meant to be enjoyed as a pair. -

This is my second base, in the Calypso Galaxy. The planet above is a mess but this cave proved to be large enough to house a huge facility.
