  1. Eisen Platte Replacement Meshes

Requirements: Oblivion Patch 1.2.0.416; R18PN - Eisen Platte Armor for HGEC - https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/36939
     Author: NPR/Sigurd Stormhand

    Description
     ===========
The is a small tweak to the Eisen Platte Armor for HGEC by NPR, it offers different replacement options, including versions with pants, versions with a skirt (back-ported from NPR’s own Skyrim version of this armour) and versions with both, as well as the original versions, and versions of all of the above with the tassets (thigh armour) removed.

    Details
     =======
This little project was prompted by someone in the NifMania Discord Server saying that whilst the liked the Eisen Platte armour they found the exposed skin on the thighs off-putting. I’m generally inclined to agree given how bulky the rest of the set it, so I decided it was worth seeing what could be done abought that. The first thing I discovered was that the version of the armour published by NPR for Skyrim included a skirt, which I thought was a significant improvement. However, it’s a pretty short skirt and I wasn’t completely happy with the look, so I decided to model some pants starting from the existing leotard mesh. These pants are based on the look of the original armour from Final Fantasy XI, using a recoloured vanilla texture.
Having made two new versions for Oblivion I decided to combine pants and skirt to create a fourth version. Whilst doing all this I took a look at the weight painting on the model and decided it could do with “stiffening” for some of the metal parts, like the knees, ankles, shins etc. More tweaking ensued, mostly to reduce clipping and gapping around the thighs and waist. I wasn’t able to totally eliminate clipping between the tassets and skirt, so I’ve provided versions of my three modified armour plus the original with and without the tassets. You can pick which you like most.
As I was already up to the waist in it, so to speak, I decided to check our the upper body too. I made some small tweaks here too, shrinking the arm armour slightly and enlarging the pauldrons to again reduce clipping and gapping. I also moved the straps on the sides of the undershirt to the sides of the armour because I think it looks better like that.
All of this is a matter of taste rather than “improvement”. The end result is a slightly “chunkier” upper body with a slightly thicker midsection and larger pauldrons alongside smaller tassets and stiffer weight painting in some places. I personally prefer this look, as I think it’s a little more balanced, but it’s not a huge difference.

    Known Issues or Bugs
     ====================
Sometimes when turning in place the tassets will clip through the skirt slightly, especially with weapons drawn. I’ve done my best to minimise this but I think fixing it completely would require welding the two parts together and remodelling them both, I don’t know how long that could take but it didn’t seem worth holding up the release at this point.

  3. Blades Ceremonial Shield

    Blades Ceremonial Shields

This is a tiny mod which adds a matching shield for the Blades Ceremonial Armor
mod by Axeface. I always liked the armor set but found the lack of a shield a bit
odd. So decided to make one of my own. The textures are pulled from the armor
itself so are an exact match.

    Location
IC Market in front of the statue. Yeah it's a cheap way to plop something in-game.
But I had a long work day when this was made and was just feeling lazy.

    Requirements
    Oblivion patched to 1.2.0416

    Install
Extract to your Oblivion Data folder either manually or using the mod manager of
    your choice.

    Load Order

    Compatibility
Shouldn't be any issues. I've never seen another mod which adds this shield.

  4. Imperial Plate Armor Redux

    Imperial Plate Armor Redux

This mod adds a nice looking suit of armor and a matching longsword to your game.
Stats are very slightly above Ebony.

Back when I actually played Oblivion instead of always modding, this was a set I used
quite often. It had an issue with hard coded texture paths, which I had to fix upon DLing
the mod. But otherwise worked fine. It's a bit odd in some light conditions, but most
armors with that shiny effect have similar issues.

The original author, Sintaker, left blanket permission to do whatever with the mod. So I
fixed the texture issue, created some new inventory icons, and uploaded the changes.
Everything else is exactly as Sintaker left it. All credits should go to him/her.

    Location
Can be purchased from the Fire & Steel in Chorrol.

  5. Knights of the Thorn Armor

Knights of The Thorn Armor Set

One of the more enjoyable aspects of playing Oblivion are the various factions in-game.
I enjoy the quests associated with them and the level of immersion they bring. The let
down comes when you see the gear (or lack thereof). Especially true with this faction
which has no uniform at all, and a shield with a pencil sketched emblem.

So I decided to try my hand at making some minor improvements. The shield has been
retextured with a proper "Thorn" emblem which closely matches the tapestry found in
the Thorn Lodge. There are also a matching cuirass, gauntlets, greaves, and a cape. I
didn't do a helmet since none of the members wear one. And boots didn't need any work.
Stats are within a few points of standard steel equipment, nothing extraordinary.

    Details
Non-playable versions of the armor are used by Knights of the Thorn members, and will
be seen on the dead Knights inside the Cheydinhal Oblivion Gate. Sorry folks, no dead
body harvesting for a free set. If you want playable versions you will have to sign on for
the quest and receive them as a reward.

There is a scripted chest inside the Thorn Lodge containing the armor. You will be able
to open it after becoming an Honorary member. Upon completing the quest speak with
Farwil to have this rank bestowed upon you. It would behoove you to keep him alive, if
    he dies...that's it.

This doesn't touch the vanilla quest at all. Simply adds a chest which requires completing
the quest to unlock. There are two versions of the plugin. Vanilla or Shivering Isles. Use
one or the other. The SI version simply adds the new shield model to the SI quest reward.

    Location
Knights of the Thorn Lodge. Near Cheydinhal Stables.

    Requirements

    Oblivion patched to 1.2.0416
Shivering Isles if you want to use the SI plugin

Shouldn't have any conflicts. I don't know of any other mods which edit this faction.

  6. Ancient Blades Armor

    Ancient Blades Armor Set

I always liked the idea of finding old artifacts tucked away in long lost dungeons.
It's one of the things I love about role playing games. Exploring and finding..stuff.
The let down is finding a cool looking unique armor piece, then discovering there
are no matching pieces to complete a set.

This mod adds a set of Blades themed armor which is retextured to match the
"Ruined Akaviri Shield" found inside Pale Pass Fort. It is Commander Mishaxi's
personal armor, which includes a standard (undamaged) shield textured to match
    the rest of this set.

    Location
Pale Pass Fort interior, Venom of the Serpent. In a chest inside the hidden tunnel
behind Commander Mishaxi. You obviously need to get past him first.

    Requirements
    Oblivion patched to 1.2.0416

    Install
Extract to your Oblivion Data folder either manually or using the mod manager
    of your choice.

    Load Order

    Compatibility
Shouldn't be any conflicts. I didn't touch any vanilla items, or fiddle with the quest.
Everything added is unique and I don't know of any other mods touching this part
of the game. This mod is many years old with no conflict reports.

  7. AFK_Blades_EQ

AFK_Blades_EQ adds several new sets of Blades armor and weapons to allow for a stylish Blades look through high levels without being penalized for the experience. In addition, it reworks the armor ratings on the Imperial Dragon armor to make it equal to Daedric or Glass, and increases the level on the enchantments to Grand. Lastly, a series of capes and cloaks are added in both a teal and gold Blades style and a crimson and black Imperial Dragon style. The new Blades equipment is available in a respawning armory chest in the Cloud Ruler Temple armory, while the new Imperial Dragon capes and cloaks are available in a respawning chest in the same location as the armor.
