DRM-free Skyrim might happen after all.
Nico coiN Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Finally, a convenient mean to purchase the rare Battlespire and Redguard.
Arthmoor Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 =) This deserves its own thread. DRM-free Skyrim might happen after all. Yes. Yes it does. This is most excellent news! I've never played Redguard or Battlespire before and now I have no excuse not to And now to honor a promise I made ages ago - I will buy the bundle to show support for them embracing this and hopefully encourage them to re-release Oblivion and Skyrim on GoG some day.
SilentProcyon Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Bethesda titles on GOG? Mr. approves. And so do I. I'm still keeping my Anthology discs though; I like having physical copies if I have that option and all of them except one are DRM-free anyway. :-) I as well purchased the ES bundle to show support. Now I'm just waiting on that one game with all the Nords.
alt3rn1ty Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Veeery nice, thanks for the link. Really glad to see Morrowind GOTY reworked for more up to date machines, and will definitely be purchasing a few of these.
BlackPete Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Wow. Nice. I didn't expect to see this happen, but I'm glad Bethesda allowed it. Hopefully, they can eventually find a way to release Oblivion and Skyrim on GOG too.
MadCat221 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 The great thing about GOG is that they solve age-related incompatibilities in the games they release.
zilav Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Battlespire together with Daggerfall never left my HDD since it's release no matter how many times I upgraded, excellent game of it's own though it focuses on dungeon crawling and fights instead of open world questing. It is also the first game to use BSA archives as far as I know (unless Redguard uses them too which I never played) and even has some voiced dialogues! p.s. My avatar is Battlespire logo
