I just switched over from XBox to playing Skyrim on PC through Steam. After playing a while I realized that I hadn't ever seen any flying insects spawn. I googled the issue and saw someone with the same issue pointing to the latest Unofficial Skyrim Patch. I unchecked it from my active mod list in NMM and sure enough, I had flying critters all over just like they should be. I posted the issue on the Unofficial Skyrim Patch page on Nexus and they sent me here. I'm using the latest versions of everything: Skyrim, Patch, NMM. When I first started playing I didn't have any other mods installed, just textures, and my load order matches what I read it should. I deactivated and reactivated the patch several times with the same results; patch ='s no insects for me. I've had to deactivate the patch in order to be able to play and see all of the little insects flying around. I'd prefer playing with the patch but the scenery just doesn't look alive without the butterflies and dragonflies. Come to think of it... I still haven't come across a single live torchbug.
