An entire planet rings quadrant is missing?

I was in the shadow directly behind the planet - so those ring sections were also completely in shadow.

Then there's a problem with the rendering: if the close star light source is behind it, then the planet should be displayed as a whole black disc with a faint light crown around it. Something like what we know as an eclipse seen from our earth ground floor.

Well, you would not see a ring around it because the perceived size of the star in this instant, being so distant, is much smaller than the diameter of the planet - so it would be totally blacked out (and the backside of the planet should be completely black as well - at least in the visible spectrum).  But, the issue is that though the rings would not be visible, they should still obscure the stars seen through them, at least to a certain extent (not enough to make the rings directly visible, but they would block the view of the stars beyond considerably).

Well, it is a game, though, and not real life (or the movies, either - which it seems many accept as fact, even though the things seen in movies are anything but - LOL!), so for what it is, it's certainly not a big deal.  Personally, if I want total accuracy, I'll visit an observatory (and even then, things will be subject to external influences and equipment limitations), and not look for - nor expect - it in a game.
