Suddenly skse gets deleted from my sse carpet

As the title says, i was downloading mods from nexus, and when i tried to start skse via vortex, it tells me that the exe doesn't exist. So i checked the files and it actually dissapears, then when i tried to download and change the files of skse, my pc tells me i need permission to change the file, when before it never tells me that. So anyone can help me?

This sounds like a Vortex issue. You'd be better served asking about that in the Vortex support forum on Nexus.

I don't mean to derail the thread, but I never understood the rationale behind letting Vortex manage SKSE, simply because it doesn't work like ordinary mods. In fact, I'd argue that it's more of a wrapper than a mod.

Ease of installation I guess, but it does leave one vulnerable to a potential security hole to do this. Granted, that's not as much of an issue today as it was 10 years ago now that many more people have a virus scanner installed by default in their operating system.
