Quest markers on map not showing up

[NAKED GI JOE]

My Issue is ..  Quest markers on map not showing up.  I am talking about the little icon  (pointy arrow thing), that shows up on the world map, showing you the next place to go  and also shows up in your view (like on the door) and above the book you are to pick up.

Other than this not showing up all is working with my mod.   I have researched and the only thing that I can find is  (possibly), my Quest Reference aliases not updating .

When ingame you do the SQV command I notice

See in the bottom left

REF 'VollackBook' -> NONE

REF 'Diana' -> None

and so on as in

These are my Quest Reference aliases that I point to for my quest objectives .

How do I get the game or CK to update these?    I am looking at    

GetReference() 

as in

; Get the reference the alias points at
ObjectReference bossRef = BossAlias.GetReference()
