Hey guys, getting the following error when I launch Wrye Bash 307 Beta3 with the GOG version of Oblivion, OS is Windows 10 x64. Tried both the standalone executable and installer, mopy is in the main Oblivion folder. Tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling both Oblivion and Wrye Bash multiple times.

Edit: I should mention this is a clean Oblivion install.

Thanks in advance.

Well, I decided to try the 307.201903192049 Experimental again tonight and it launched both the .exe and .pyw without a problem. I don't know why I was getting this error previously, but I'm very happy it's working now.

Just wondering about the Fomod handling.  Is there an upper limit on the size of archive Bash can handle?  I have a couple of large Fomod archives, around 500Mb compressed and 2Gb uncompressed that Bash won't recognize as having fomod installers.

@NorthMammoth What is best is to post your error once and then stop. In addition to that only post bug reports from the "utumno-wop" branch. Anything from my github is a personal version I'm using and I release as a courtesy. It's based off of utumno-wip but it's not technically supported.

The second thing is to do what you did a different post where you show the entire bash log using the -d parameter.

File "bash\bolt.py", line 188, in formatDate
    local = time.gmtime(value)
ValueError: (22, 'Invalid argument')

That shows the extra information needed to give you an answer.

I can't tell you why it's doing that but here is my guess based off the last few lines in the bash log.

You are using windows 10, you have your language set to "en_NZ" which uses a different date format for files. Please realize I would have no idea if the current maintainer Utumno has Windows 10. If he does he probably isn't setting it to "en_NZ" and using a different time format. So that's most likely the issue. If you use an American time date format it might work just fine. Then kindly and patiently wait for a fix.

To help with the fix though please provide a screen shot of your language settings.

@unitetsu Python 2.7 is at end of life this year. The Python organization will not be adding cp65001 or code page 65001 which is new to Windows 10 to Python 2.7. No it is not something we can add as it's enormously complex. Attempts have been made to alias it but that will not work according to stacktrace and python.org.

You can read their bug report if you wish but it was closed because they have no desire to add support for that. It has been added to Python 3.3. Before you ask no we can not upgrade Wrye bash at this time to use Python 3.3. You will have to set your system to a different language. I don't have windows 10 so I can't help with that. users on the nexus report that US EN works fine.

@Sharlikran, my apologies for being impatient. Just got a little too excited for Oblivion haha.

I have changed every date and time setting and format to US, restarted my PC and I still get the same error. Any idea?

@NorthMammoth The day is before the month in your screen shot. In America we don't have that and the way Wrye Bash is written it probably doesn't take that into account. I know it doesn't for save games also. I still have not had time to look into that. So for time zone keep Auckland Wellington but for Date and Time it needs to look like I have below. If that doesn't work then I need to know.

My current working version I use for personal use is 307.201904010022 Experimental

If you did not get the following error with the Nexus release of 307.201903301944 do not download this.

My current

I had those issue with the 307.201904010022 Experimental version.

307.201904011313 Nexus Test Version Fix

Just now tried it. Worked well!

(Skyrim SE; MO2 Beta; 255+ plugins)

The only issue I have with the latest builds os WB is very minor.

I got to use, change Status Bar Icon Size to 32. Whenever I am tríing to that, every new version after some seconds, close and drop me back to MO2.

Here are two full file manifests of the Skyrim (same for both SSE and LE at the moment) and Fallout 4. These are relative to the Data folder.

I've also created a file that contains a list of the different file extensions that are used with an explanation of what the custom file extensions are to the best of my knowledge.  Most of the image formats used with the stock installers are .png but there could conceivably be .jpg files as well.

I've confirmed by reviewing several armor mods for both Skyrim and FO4 that contain BodySlide data.

I wanted to include Fores New Idles (FNIS) since it is a popular animation replacer/registration mod. I've included a list of the usual skips (the directories are created but the executables are skipped) .

If you prefer I can format these as they are in Wrye Bash according to their Matched/Mismatched/Dirty/Skipped status.  Just let me know and I'll do the homework.

Thanks!!

Skyrim-bodyslide-files.txt

Bodyslide-file-extensions.txt

FNIS-files.txt

SO you're telling me that though BAIN Skips all those FNIS files listed and the Installers tab has a pink checkbox, it is COMPLETELY installed, at least as far as Wrye Bash is concerned‽‽‽

SHYTE!! Between today and yesterday I have spent 16+ hours trying to get that in, i search the Wrye Bash github page, read the entire General And Technical ReadMe files/pages, watched just about every YouTube vid I found that looked like it might help‼

And All I had to do was come here and spend 5 minutes reading this post.

I'll say It again: SHYTE!!

When I opened the FNIS-files.txt my  heart just dropped recognizing the files that I had seen listed (soo many times) in the Skipped tab. :}

At least I have learned a LOT more than I knew three days ago. At that time I was hesitant/scared to get started using Bash. Now I feel mush better.

Thank-you for your work you have done and  the expertise you offer us via these posts.

Please let me know if my understanding of the content of of this post is incorrect.

(I guess I can delete ALL the typing I spent MANY hours Hunting-And-Pecking to send a help request to "Questions & Feedback" page on github)

Hi,

I need a little bit of help.

We have a new Guard Dialog  mod:

True Guard Dialogue Overhaul SSE

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25037?tab=posts&BH=1

If am trying to make a Bashed Patch with these WB versions:

Wrye.Bash.307.201904130032.-.Standalone.Executable

Wrye.Bash.307.201904130040.-.Standalone.Executable

I always got, this pop-up window:

MMjobaC.jpg

1.) Kelsenellenelvian

I know what that issue is but you shouldn't be getting it. I'll check.

2.) Kelsenellenelvian

Please check your mod manager. I've checked the file and that error is not present in the mod. You may have an old copy somehow sticking in your data folder.

Done everything, that issue is still present.

Thank You!

I'm not going to address that. People are using an older version of xEdit and don't want to update. There is and never has been a 20 byte version of that subrecord. Mark the record as modified and see if that fixes it.

@Kelsenellenelvian xEdit 4.0.2 should address that if you mark it as modified. If not unfortunately only the ck will fix it.

Thanks. I had several of my tools apparently out of date.
