I know there is a couple of mods that needs to be updated, but I won't mess with that especially not now since I'm working on an update for my mod.  Which is gonna be the last version for SLE due for being too unstable.

@Leonardo Just a quick nosy at your Load Order .. You know that "Run For Your Lives" now includes "When Vampires Attack", so you do not need When Vampires Attack anymore, just install the new RFYL and uninstall WVA - You will not have any save issues by removing the old WVA, just continue playing.

@Arthmoor Sorry for Off topic but apparently you changed the oldrim Run For Your Lives Description to no longer recommend WVA, but did not change the SSE Description for the same (On Nexus).

Ah, I didn't know that.  Thanks, alt. :)

I dunno what is wrong, but I can't see the any items for the Nordic Carved Armor listed what have activated the forge and this time my Smithing skill is at level 70 after making it legendary.

Even if I use mods that might affect this I doubt that, because I've used those mods since I started this game and I could see the Nordic Carved Armor items listed at the forge when my Smithing skill was not set to legendary.

You need the Advanced Armors perk to break those down into ingots, just like you require the same perk in the DLC in order to craft them to start with.

Ars simply followed the DLC's example when setting up the deconstruction recipes.

And despite for having the Advanced Armor perk I still can't see the Nordic Carved Armor in the list, which I could when the Smithing skill was not set to legendary.

I dunno what's causing this, but this is the first time I had this issue and I have been using your mod since I dunno when probably from the day I discover it here or on TAL/Nexus.

Well you got me then but that's not an issue with this mod in any case.

Maybe it is after all, not saying that your mod is causing this, but this one haven't updating it might be what's causing my issue.

You see, I checked your mod in the mod checker in WB and I saw no version listed, so I selected it and check the file header and this is what I got.

Quote

A smithing mod tailored to my desires in the game. Adds the ability to forge arrows, gain skill for smelting and mining, melt down unwanted armor and weapons, and more.

See the readme for full details.

Special Edition - Version 2.0.1

Requires Skyrim Special Edition 1.3.9.0 or greater.

{{BASH:Names}}

I think it would be useful if you add the version number in the file header for the Ars Metallica.esp, the same as I did for my mod, and doing that could inform the mod user about what mod version one is using.

Well, I tried to update your mod and still I can't see the Nordic Carved Armor listed.  I'll continue my investigation.

Also, another thing I notice was about the version number that's listed in the mod checker and that turns out to be related to what you have in the file header for the Ars Metaillica.esp.

Special Edition - Version 2.0.3

Having that in the file header will not show the version number in the mod checker, but this will show the version number in the mod checker.

Version 2.0.3 - Special Edition

I also tested this for my mod and got the same result, after editing the file header for your mod, by just adding " - Skyrim Special Edition" after "Version 1.8" in my mod, which is this "Version 1.8 - Skyrim Special Edition".

So either the "Special Edition" or the Skyrim Special Edition" phrase will work provided that the Version <NUM> is first then the other is last.

EDIT:  What recipe(s) or script(s) is related to the Nordic Carved Armor and the Orcish Armor (I just notice the Orcish Armor is not listed as well) as both aren't listed at the forge in-game?

Leo. The problem is not from this mod. Why do you persists in acting as though it is?

I know there is nothing from your mod that's causing my issue, it is just that I dunno where to start as this issue confuses me a lot.  Also, your mod is the only mod that touches the recipes for basically everything that can be created at the forge.

My bad, I feel so stupid since I forgot to add a perk for the Advanced Armor perk and while I was clearing out Forelhost I level up then I checked the Advanced Armor perk which I hadn't picked earlier.

My apologies, Artmoor.

I think one Elven Dagger needs to be two when using the smelter, because the player will get two Quicksilver ingot instead of one ingot and forging an Elven Dagger requires only one Quicksilver ingot according to UESP.

Version 2.0.4

Scrapping an Elven Dagger was returning too many ingots of Quicksilver. (Bug #25026)
Scrapping a Steel War Axe was returning more steel than what it took to make it. (Bug #25379)

Version 2.0.5

The fake torch mesh used in the crafting menu had some bad data causing minor visual issues. It has been reconverted with the latest version of SSE Nif Optimizer.

Hi Arthmoor,

Any chance you can add crafting Fur Armor to this mod? When it's better than Hide (excluding shield) I have no idea why we wouldn't want to make this instead.

There is also a special Torch added in Dawnguard. item#(00036343) in Hrodulf's House. It can cast shadows. Any chance we could craft these torches?

Away from home so unable to verify but I seem to remember some issue with deconstructing Nordic Carved Boots but could deconstruct the rest of the set. I'll have to recheck.

Shadow casting torches are very buggy and were not implemented widely by the devs for that reason. So no, that's not going to be made available to craft.

Aren't fur armors already craftable in vanilla?

I just checked UESP and if the information is accurate (scroll down a bit to the light armor section) then no the player cannot forge fur armor in vanilla.

So it would seem. Probably because those armors are labeled as Bandit armors in the CK and they just never made recipes for them. There are vanilla tempering recipes though.

I'll stick some stuff in for these and have an update out soon.

Maybe they change their mind just before release or they forgot what they did with the Bandit armor.  Who knows for sure.

Version 2.0.6

Fur armor recipes have been added. The vanilla game doesn't include these because they're typically only worn by bandits.

I discover another oddity.

I wonder why I can't smelt two ebony ore into one ebony ingot when I had just unlocked the Advanced Armor perk and the Nordic Armor requires that perk, but the Nordic Armor also requires one ebony ingot for each Nordic Armor pieces.

I also know it's possible to obtain ebony ore in-game e.g two locations in Skyrim, two locations on Solstheim.

Hey Arthmoor, long time fan of your mods:) Quick question... Do you know of any Campfire patches for Ars Metallica? I've looked everywhere I can find and have come up empty. I can't believe no one has made the Campfire smithing equipment give xp like Ars does. You know like tanning or smelting, that sort of thing.  Or for the Camper's Workbench add on.

Anyway, thanks for all the awesome work you do!

(and sorry about nexus... what a bunch of nazi pricks)

I am not aware of any such patch but it probably would not be difficult to do. If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll take a look at it at some point since it would only need to modify the Campfire side of things.
