That "fix" is actually going to break her invest options because it sets her merchant faction ranks to -1 which tells the game she's no longer a member. I've been able to successfully invest in her shop just fine on every occasion so I'm not sure where you're getting the impression that her investment option is broken. Are you absolutely sure you don't have a mod that's disrupted the PerkInvestor quest dialogue or done something to mess up Lami's faction assignments in an NPC edit?
