How Modding Made Bethesda Better

Might be a bit dry and boring for some, but I thought it was good and revealed a lot about where Bethesda stands on modding and the community surrounding it. A shame they didn't publicize this more before the whole paid mods thing too.

Nice coverage.

Some Notez:

UGC: Uber Generic Crud

Consumption - Tinkering - Creation Heh We're all just a bunch of tinkers anyway. (Tinker-er in my pet parlance)

Hmm SteamCharts now puts Skyrim at number 13 (Witcher 3 at 24)

Reception to "Horse Armor" Yay. Armored Mudcrabs? Wooot!

Train soul absorbed? Heh That would get the Thomas Tankers up in arms -er- Steam!

Adult Content mods weren't mentioned, but cannot be ignored as to their contribution to the green bit in the "RA Digital Net Revenue"

Get off the Dog Food and back into devving the CK (pretty plz with Joel on Top)

Thanks for sharing this, wouldn't have found it otherwise. It's too bad because there's some good stuff in there but with Beth's shitty QA it's really hard for me to break the impression that they just don't give a damn after a game is sold. I know that may be unfair, especially given their continuing willingness to release dev tools for modders, but it's hard to break that kind of image once it's been cemented.
