deynger
Hi! This is a copy paste of my problem I posted in Nexus Forums just a few minutes ago. I decided to post it here hoping that maybe there is someone who knows a fix for this... I have two profiles a warrior and a ranger both using dawnguard equipments and both are suffering from the same problem. I'm also attaching my mod loadout from my ranger profile may it could help? Hi I'm in the same dilemma as with Isam1991. All dawnguard faction equipment are missing their original enchants like: -50% armor for enemies with both enhanced steel and dwarven crossbows and the reduced damaged from vampires by using a complete set of dawnguard armors this goes for both the light and heavy armor variants and finally with the dawnguard shield too. Are there anybody out there suffering from this bug? Currently I'm using ModOrganizer by Tannin and my mod loadout is listed below : This is my level 77 Warrior mods loadout: Skyrim.esm Active Update.esm Active Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp Active Dawnguard.esm Active Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp Active HearthFires.esm Active Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp Active Dragonborn.esm Active Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp Active Falskaar.esm Active Skyrim Project Optimization - VaultDuke
the descriptions on the items were removed. check the changelog for version 2.0 of the UDGP under item fixes.http://www.afkmods.com/Unofficial%20Dawnguard%20Patch%20Version%20History.html so; are you sure the effects are gone? or were you just confused that the descriptions have gone missing?as you will see from the changelog, this was done to allow enchanting and to allow custom enchantment text to show up on these items
PrinceShroob
New loading screens were added to describe the effects of the Dawnguard's equipment; this is similar to the change for silver weaponry.

Using my ever faithful companion Ceelan with 1046 hitpoints (I know this by using the getav health command) I shot him first with the regular dwarven crossbow three times consecutively checking his hitpoints I found out the crossbow is damaging him in an average of 11 points then using the enhanced dwarven crossbow three times I'm damaging him averagely with 11 points too. So I guess something is working wonky with the game I dunno If its only me since checking forums I can't find someone with same problem. Anyway I'll try disabling the UDGP temporarily and do the test again to see if its conclusive.
deynger
I noticed that the harcoded effect for crossbows are for enemies so to eliminate the chance for mistaked I took a different approach Bringing dwarven crossbow for each variant both smithed to 185 damage points and using dwarven crossbow bolt only I search for some fat Horkers in the north. First I aggro 3 three horkers by fusroda one of the three and performing my experiment with the other two. The two horkers have 175 hitpoints each trying my previous experiment with my companion Celann before, I averaged damaging the two beast of up to 54 points both with the enhanced and the regular dwarven crossbows. I quit the game restart my pc load the game perform the test again with horkers and its still the same. Therefore something is really wonking out with those equipment. I just hope the USKP team will take a look if there is really no problem the UDGP 2.0b patch likewise I'm hoping too that they could prove me wrong. PrinceShroob
Your damage output is affected by the bolts you're shooting and Celann's armor rating, along with your difficulty setting. Are you factoring those, as well?
VaultDuke
something is probably up with your mod setup. in vanilla skyrim enemies rarelly resist anything close to 50%, you show numbers of 75% reistance for horkers, and even more then 90% resistance for your follower. 80% physical reistance is max from armor in vanilla skyrim not sure which mod it could be, i'm not seeing any of the big overhaul mods in your loadorder, but there are a few related to archery. Really I never thought about that? About my follower I have maxed his armor coz I have 100 enchanting, alchemy, and smithing and using the the Ahzidal set I get to craft an alchemy/smithing set, together with the one of the black books in DG which gave me extra enchanting power and finally the notched axe I almost made him indestructible and his already level 77. Also maybe since I'm playing legendary difficulty that would account for the sturdiness of them would you think?
VaultDuke
no, this is a hard set cap in vanilla. above something like 600 armor, you will not get a resistance increase. it is actually quite easy to change that, it is one setting in the creation kit, that specifically says 80% and you can just change it to whatever you like (99%, 90% you get the idea). some mods do this. check this article: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Armor so whatever you have going on here, someone fiddled with this cap in your game, maybe even fiddled with the armor/reistance formula altogether. at any rate: the USKP is responsible for the descriptions not showing up any more, but that is it. you have something in your mods or ini files, that changes the damage calculations rather drastically, and it is not uskp. VaultDuke
ok, ignore anything i said earlier. of course the difficulty setting has a significant impact on the damage you deal. maybe your follower just has too much armor. try to give her something around and armor rating of 600 and do the test again. you know, if she has more than 1200 and you lower it to 600 with the xbow, it will still absorb the same amount (80%). on the other hand if the horker has no armor (i think they don't), it will absorb nothing either way. alternativelly try any human enemies with heavy armor and see how they behave. or put in different words: for enemies with 0 or >1200 armor you shouldn't expect the 50% armor reduction to have any effect at all.
