Help with script log "errors"

I've noticed some script errors in my log during the game. I was wondering if someone (that knows what they mean) could tell me if there is a problem in my game and/or if they might be a bug. My game hasn't crashed or anything yet, but was wondering if they are anything to be concerned about. I've the ones I was concerned about in an orange font. Thanks for the help.

This one seems to have something to do with entering (breaking into) Anise's Shack basement and her going hostile on you when you discover "her secret." Perhaps dunPOITundraWitchShackQST was intended to be a quest at some point.

They aren't game breaking. It's just papyrus letting you know that not everything was as it was expecting it to be. I can report the relevant errors into the tracker if you'd like. Most of them are caused by missing sanity checks in the scripts.

The Chicken one is already in Tracdown - #13577

Likewise the Flame Atronach one - #13728

And the Physics Trap - #13926

"[11/15/2013 - 02:57:06AM] FIRE BREATH: dying..." looks like simple log spam. Depends on whether it's a script or the engine which is causing it.

QF_dunPOITundraWitchShackQST_000DDF8D is not in Tracdown (that I can find anyway) but probably should be.

Yes, please go ahead and report those relevant errors. I don't really understand what I'm seeing in the logs very well, so I'm sure that you would know what to report and what not to. Thank you. Nevermind, I went ahead and added the QF_dunPOITundraWitchShackQST_000DDF8D script to the Tracdown from Screwball's suggestion in the post below.

 

By the way, I forgot to add that I'm experiencing a lot of "critter" related errors and several other errors (including one with DA09 and another having to do with a WE related to spriggans) in my log as well and I don't know if those are relevant to anything. I also see this one quite often: Info: *Achievement <number> awarded - a winnar is you!* The ones highlighted in orange are the ones I think may be relevant. The thing to do is search for the script name in Tracdown. If you find it, read the issue and if it's the same one then it's already been reported.

defaultghostscript, MagicTrap, Critter (firefly), SprigganFXSCRIPT and WEAliasScript are already there.

The "Achievement awarded" is already there too but can't be addressed by the USKP.

 

DA06 (0003B681)].TIF__00022395.Fragment_0() doesn't appear to be.

The thing to do is search for the script name in Tracdown. If you find it, read the issue and if it's the same one then it's already been reported.

Okay, thanks for the advice on these logs. I'll add the one about DA06 as well as the one about dunPOITundraWitchShackQST. Now that I am aware of it, the search in Tracdown will be quite useful in the future, so that I don't have to ask someone about every little error I get; thanks again for helping me out.

The achievement issue can be mitigated some by making it only attempt to report them one time, but that could be more trouble than its worth for those folks who get one while offline and later want to trigger it again when they're not.

Oh, so that would explain why the achievements appear in the log multiple times, because I've seen these in the log during numerous play sessions where I haven't even gained any additional achievement (on Steam).

Yes, exactly. Though Bethesda could have left out the debug messages for it. Unfortunately they didn't and it's buried in their native engine code where we can't touch it. Maybe shadeMe can be convinced to add something to Nitpick to silence those :P

Sorry to keep adding more of these logs, but I'm not sure whether this error is from Arthmoor's RFYL mod or it's a vanilla Skyrim script error. There was a dragon attack at Dragon's Bridge, so it could possibly be related to that.

When reporting papyrus log errors into the tracker, please include also the error in the bug title in addition to the script name. It'll make perusing the tracker and finding stuff with search a lot easier. If you're unsure of what I mean, you can look at other issues in the Papyrus category for examples.

That's just letting you know that the script has been updated. Generally it's safe to ignore these types of erros if you've recently updated mods.

I understand what you mean now with the titles and thanks for bringing that to my attention. By the way, I don't think I am able to change the titles for the papyrus tracker reports that I've already added, so someone with admin privileges would have to change those for me, unless I'm missing something.

It looks the error with CR13 was supposedly fixed with issue #13688 and #13238.

Are these errors anything that need to be added to the tracker or are they the result of a non-retroactive fix in 2.0.0?

Apparently not (According to Arthmoor). Tracker issues: #14210, #14211, #14212, and #14213.

 

Also, are these scripts the same scripts that had to do with the bear traps in issue #14132?
