Yet another schema for enhancement in Skyrim's Fast Travel: Leveled Fast Travel.

This doesn't deprecate Wagon Travel through Skyrim, indeed should enhance it.

Should there be an impost on Fast Travel in Skyrim? It's tiring, and stressful, even with a horse. It costs money. How about 1% off perks for every m miles traveled (Extra for harsher terrain: m * Penalty) for N hours after destination reached. Recovery rate is graded, and total recovery time depends on miles travelled.

Advanced spell-casters can cast Portal, but requires extra magica/perks for vehicles, followers. Kind of solves it all, anyway.

Starting Character:     e.g. Wheeled Duffle Bag (average donkey/horse)

Middle Character:       e.g. Small cart (better donkey/horse with batman)

Advanced Character: e.g.A magical light-weight, but expensive minicart with humanoid operator. Like a  tardis, big on the inside, small on the outside,

Go into a dungeon, leave it all at the entrance. A pop-up message at dungeon entry will prompt for pickup/drop off.

Well, that's all fine and dandy, but, compared to the Oblivion Statistics, Skyrim's are fairly drab.

What we want is a statistic to tell us how well we have organized our itinerary. It's easy:

A = Sum (Actual miles traveled in each started Quest I)

E = Sum (Expected miles to be traveled in each started Quest I)

TravelEfficiencyFactor or TEF =  (A - E)/(Total Hours traveled or, Sum (m * Penalty))

TEF > 0:  Improvement required (Nasty Red)

TEF ~=0 : Doing OK                   (Cool Amber)

TEF < E:  You'ze a genius          (Lovely Lime)

And allocate TEF values for Starting/Middle/Advanced Characters.

So, here's the exciting bit: for the nine regions of Skyrim we need a Regionalized Quest Manager, or RQM.

Say, for example, we are in Eastmarch: we only want to scroll through quests requiring action in Eastmarch.

Included is an option to review quest activities in neighbouring regions.

Included is the likelihood of an (already encountered) itinerant merchant at a location in the region to offload your goodies.

Such a mod will only read data from within the game, but will require a UI in the map section,- might be a bit of work there.

The RQM doesn't select quest targets, we still do that, but, will ultimately help us to healthy TEF values, which, in a place as large as Skyrim, is a "sensible" thing, don't you agree?

Had a go at this, but being a newcomer to Flash, working with deprecated S/W, and not being the teenjeenius I once never wuz, going to move on rather quickly. :P

But there's no doubting the present Skyui contributors have really been an inspiration to us all.
