im currently unable to start the quest "dawnguard"

i have tried console commands

other features of the dawnguard dlc are fine..like gargoyles and vampire masters attacking cities

but even after talking with hold guards the location of fort dawnguard doesnt show on my map

i travelled to fort dawnguard and the orc thats supposed to recruit me is just shooting crossbow bolts into a tree stump :/

even after talking about joining dawnguard the quest doesnt start

Warzones doesn't play nicely with Dawnguard. Also, it's rather old, over a year now from the last time it was updated. I'd recommend only using mods that have been updated since the latest official patch 1.9 came out.

SMPC e.esp - Not recommended that you be using this either.

As for uninstalling mods, you can't do that in the middle of a game. Especially not with something as large and invasive as Warzones. You are probably beyond the point of being able to repair the damage and need to start a new game. It sucks, we've all been there, but it has to be done. Skyrim simply doesn't behave the way the older Bethesda games did.

smpc e.esp is actually broken, it won't even load the corresponding .bsa file, because this has a different name.

Could the smpc e.esp indicate for being an English translated version of the smpc mod and the corresponding bsa file could have the name smpc.bsa?

So if that's correct then perhaps check the Skyrim.ini just to see if the smpc.bsa are listed there.

you shouldnt have to hardcode the bsa registration he means it should just be able to locate it through the esp
