Alduin's Bane [MQ206] Battlescene just stops

I've just recently run into this issue that was never an issue before. I start reading the Elder Scroll at the Time Wound, the scene of the past battle starts and everything appears fine. But the scene stops when Alduin is supposed to appear.

The last spoken words are Gormlaith saying "Alduin approaches". She and Felldir get into attack mode in front of the word wall, but Hakon is off to the right, not in attack mode, just looking out over the mountain. The scene is basically still playing, the three dragons are swooping around, breathing fire, shaking the ground ... but Alduin never comes to advance the scene and the three Nord Heros just stand there.

About 2 weeks ago I was able to get through reading the Elder Scroll with no problem, on a different character obviously, with the exact same load order. :shrug:

I've tested it about 10 times and no luck. I was originally using an older version of the USKP (yeah, I know :P), then updated to 1.3.0 to no avail. There's been no other changes to my load order.

This is the relevent section of the Papyrus log;

So something is obviously going on with MQ206, but I don't know what.

This is a long shot since I don't know much about papyrus in general, but I notice the Mq206throatoftheworldtriggerscript.psc script file was altered somehow in your latest USKP update.

    [ (FF000D98)].ObjectReference.Disable() - "<native>" Line ?
    [ (000F25DC)].MQ206ThroatoftheWorldTriggerScript.DisableObjects() - "Mq206throatoftheworldtriggerscript.psc" Line 43

[03/09/2013 - 02:29:30PM] Error:  (000CAF70): cannot disable an object with an enable state parent.

Perhaps you need to compare this Mq206throatoftheworldtriggerscript.psc (line 43) file with other USKP updates you made and if you find which one how is different then you might know what prevented Alduin to show up.

I remember having a hell of a time with this on my second char, before there were mods (safe ones anyway). i'd get as far as unrolling the scroll and seeing the 3 heroes line up to fight, but then.... nothing. Alduin would just circle the field, never land, and I'd have to restart the game.

Took me 44 tries to get past it because nobody had ever heard of the problem. So nobody knew what might have caused it. I knew nothing of Papyrus logging at the time so I never checked. I just kept pounding away at it until it worked.

If this is consistent and you're getting these logs all the time, could be something we have a shot at fixing.

Hmm, well, that's somewhat comforting. Leonardo, thing is, it happens both on latest USKP and very very old USKP, which is why I don't suspect it, but one never knows.

I'll keep plugging away at it and logging and crossing my fingers :lol:

Could this issue be the same as it were for the "don't absorb dragon soul" issue that was activated when Dragonborn was released if you had USKP active in your loadorder.

You can try to use the same solution that fixed the "don't absorb dragon soul" issue and see what happens.  It wouldn't hurt to try it.
