Visit http://en.gravatar.com/ and find out. A Gravatar is basically a global avatar that can be recognized across a wide variety of sites. Many Wordpress blogs support them, and practically all major forum software packages support them.You of course don't have to bother, I'm not getting rid of the other methods of adding an avatar to your profile.
