Ghinn Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Like the title says, I'm getting an error whenever I try to enable the patch. The full text reads "This Creation cannot be enabled since it depends on files that aren't present or that have been disabled." I have all the DLCS. I have all the listed CC content. I even did a fresh install of all the files (Game, DLC, CC content), and I still get that same error. I started a new game, hoping that loading the actual game would help it see that I had the necessary files, but the same thing happens. I've spent the last 2 days trying to find anyone else with this issue, but apparently I'm the only person on the planet that is having this particular issue, so I figured I'd try here for help. I'm playing on Xbox (X1X specifically), so I'm stuck with whatever versions of the game and patch are available. The game version is 1.11.142.0, the patch version is 2.1.9A. According to the CC page, I've got 1.91GB free, so I don't think space is an issue. Other than the official DLCs and the listed CC content, the only stuff I have installed is the free stuff. Some Pip-Boy and weapon skins, and the Beast Hunter DLC. I've tried it with and without those additional mods, and it doesn't work either way. Any ideas? Is there some step I'm missing between installing the mods and playing the game? I'd really like to give this mod a shot.
Sigurð Stormhand Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Apparently there are issues with the Creations menu not recognising the DLC's.
Arthmoor Posted November 12 Posted November 12 It's an issue with Bethesda's licensing servers and will affect all platforms. If you're on console, you'll need to wait for Bethesda to fix it. If you're on PC, use a mod manager to enable your mods. If you've purchased stuff you need to actually download through the Creations menu, see this post if you're on PC: Once you've completed all of that, do not access the Creations menu again until they've fixed the problem. smr1957 1
Arthmoor Posted November 13 Posted November 13 There is a hotfix confirmed for next week now to address enabling mods that have DLC masters. Plus 2 more patches coming later. One the week of the 24th, the other in early December. The patch for the week of the 24th will include bumping mod storage space for XBox up to 100GB max. Good news for XBox users Ghinn 1
Ghinn Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 Thanks for the info! I was hoping it was Bethesda's fault (what isn't these days?). Still weird that I couldn't find any other posts about this. I always get itchy to play Fallout in the winter, but having beaten 4 on multiple platforms I'm in no rush. I'll try again next week.
