You can now find a small hidden hideout behind the wall in the Imperial City Waterfront District. A map marker for fast traveling is available (the map marker is named "Hidden Hideout"). The crates and chests in the hideout are safe for storage and are labeled with different item categories for easier sorting (not in the light edition).

Regarding crashes with the regular version, please read the pinned comment in the comments on Nexus Mods.

Light edition - easier to install!

The light edition replaces all new objects (the ones with new Editor IDs) in the hideout with the default counterparts. That means the chests and crates in the storage area lose their custom names ("Armors", "Weapons", "Misc", "Ingredients", "Clothing"). I transferred the hideout to the cell of the Warehouse in the Imperial City Market District (don't worry, I didn't change the position of the entrance; it's still the same) and made sure that all things in the hideout are owned by the player. The map marker is named after the Warehouse cell.

Thanks to these changes, you no longer need to download additional tools which makes the installation process easier. Fewer tools means fewer pitfalls that could cause the game to crash.

How to install (light edition):

Just put the plugin "Hidden Hideout - light edition.esp" in the Data folder and activate it by writing its name including the .esp extension (without quotes) in the Plugins.txt which can be found in the Data folder. Please place the plugin at the bottom of the load order in the Plugins.txt so that the changes to the interior cell aren't overwritten by the game's plugins or any other plugins that change the ICMarketDistrictWarehouse cell.

How to install (regular version):

Copy the "Hidden Hideout.esp" and the "SyncMap" and "MagicLoader" folders to the Data folder.

Where you can find the Data folder:

Steam:
Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data

GamePass:
XboxGames\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data

Activate the "Hidden Hideout.esp" plugin by writing its name including the .esp extension (without quotes) in the Plugins.txt which can be found in the Data folder.

Then install the following tools:

MagicLoader (version 2.4 or newer)
UE4SS for OblivionRemastered
UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector
Optional: NL-Tag Remover (it removes the [NL] tag from containers and doors of the hideout; requires OBSE)

Run the MagicLoader tool (guide). If MagicLoader is not executed, the game crashes as soon as you enter the hideout.

If you own the standard edition of Oblivion Remastered:
In order to prevent a crash when entering the hideout, place the plugin above AltarDeluxe.esp in the Plugins.txt:
Oblivion.esm
DLCBattlehornCastle.esp
DLCFrostcrag.esp
DLCHorseArmor.esp
DLCMehrunesRazor.esp
DLCOrrery.esp
DLCShiveringIsles.esp
DLCSpellTomes.esp
DLCThievesDen.esp
DLCVileLair.esp
Knights.esp
AltarESPMain.esp
Hidden Hideout.esp
AltarDeluxe.esp
AltarESPLocal.esp

How this mod was done:

I originally created the Hidden Hideout for the original Oblivion. At first, I thought that it would be enough if I simply put the plugin in the Remaster's data folder. Then I tested the plugin in the game and as soon as I entered the hideout, the game crashed. After much trial and error and hours of research, I was able to fix the crashing problem and other issues like missing walls. I have documented my findings in the tutorials Adding chests with new Editor IDs without CTD and Player home creation: Problem solving guide. The first tutorial describes everything in great detail in 10 steps. The second tutorial lists the problems and their solutions in a more compact form and deals with further problems such as later changes to objects not taking effect and faulty map markers (<MISSING STRING TABLE ENTRY> issue).
