lmstearn Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Is it Fallout 4 with the space, or Fallout4 without? Don't have it installed, looks like it's most likely with the space, as with FO3. Not a lot of consistency from Bethesda, one article has it with the space: What do I do if I'm getting the error "Save / Load operation failed" when trying to save the game in Fallout 4 on PC? - Bethesda Support Another has it without: Where is my Fallout 4 save game file located on PC? - Bethesda Support Same issue with the Steam game install location - following has the space: What do I do if the graphics settings from the Fallout 4 Launcher are not saving? - Bethesda Support And without: Why am I getting missing .dll file errors when trying to launch Creation Kit for Fallout 4? - Bethesda Support
Arthmoor Posted November 22 Posted November 22 For the saves folder, it's Fallout4 without the space. Same with the folder where plugins.txt is stored in AppData. The game DOES include the space though. Which is where the inconsistency comes from. lmstearn 1
lmstearn Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 (edited) Cool, thanks, looks the same as FO3 in that respect, so linking back to the second post in thisĀ answer for more details. It appears the GOTY ed has that added into the base game folder names (Fallout 4 GOTY), not with AppData or MyGames folders, as apparently what happened as an Epic Fail (my words) described in a recently archived Reddit post concerning the installation of the Epic Games release.
