Dragonblood got a reaction from Uncus in [RELz] Unread Books Glow Black Book
I was going to include the skill the book teaches but it can only be done via list and that would not work with Mods, so I made 6 different shaders for them.
    Skill Skill Books Glow:
    Green: Apothecary
    Tan: Blacksmith
    White: Priest
    Fog: Thief
    Red: Warrior
    Purple: Wizard
I am going to do something now that is badass.  If you take a book from a container that has not been read and drop it, it will start glowing. What do you think?

Dragonblood got a reaction from Talyn82 in Gargoyle Statues?
When the Gargoyles are set up properly, you have:
    1. Just a Statue
    2. A Gargoyle NPC - Disabled ( If not disable it.)
    3. A trigger Box that enables the disabled Gargoyle NPC, disables the statute and sets off an explosion.
Deleting all of those things and replacing them with a statue is one way to go. Simply disabling the trigger box and leaving the statue that is already there is another.
The trigger box is very easy to find. If you click on it there should be a line that shows the connected objects. It is possible the statue could enable the Gargoyle so you should disconnect them. Finding the trigger box, disabling it and disconnecting the Gargoyle from the statue would take about a minute. You would be left with an inanimate statue and the navcut.
If you delete something in a cell that is called on by the game it could crash. If you disable something that is called on the game will just enable it.
You also need to watch out for the Navcut.  If you deleted that, NPCs will run into your statue.

Hey Sah,  I have another Mod that would make a great showcase video.  It is brand new and there is nothing else like it.  You can craft a custom pickax made from the the usual smithing materials and see it being used at the ore vein.  Believe it or not this has not been done before that I can find. It is supposed to be released in the next day or so.
I am going to try and say this nicely. It is totally bizarre for other members here to be claiming some kind of control over the Mods Sah does showcases for. I am not recommending you do any showcases and do not remotely, and I do mean remotely, care what you think about it. It was funny the first time but ah you know the thing. Thanks

@Sah  @Adella    Have you guys thought about possibly doing some Mod Showcases or Reviews?  They could be a good way to force YouT%$# into showing your videos.   I just happen to have one.  How about a comparison of Unread Books Glow Super and the Original?  Should bring some traffic.  There are 750,000 people on steam still subscribed to it.  Allot of other mods here would make great showcase videos too.

TBBT ‘Fun with Flags’ was really humorous imo.  Sheldon sees fascination in things ‘normal’ people just don’t…Amy’s face often said it all Lol.
Yes, I don’t think glowing books is for me….I see it as a utility to cut down on unnecessary re-reading, but I tend to not use many mods that add convenience. Personal preference.

The Mod will be available on Xbox in the near future.  The original already is.
Not everyone is only interested in combat Mods. Expand your mind. I was even thinking they may be interested in having a go at the Sounds of Skyrim.
It is a great idea. The only question is - Do you think you could have fun doing them?  Everyone likes well done comparison videos. How is the new version different form the previous version or how is this Town Mod different from this one.

    Download Options:
    Original Skyrim PC Steam Workshop
    Skyrim Special Edition PC Bethesda.net
    Skyrim Special Edition XBox Bethesda.net
New version is live an all platforms.
Head to Dragonsreach and investigate Farengar's Quarters for clues.   #1 Mod of the week on Steam!
Books are able to be picked up without being marked as read if the book is directly added to the players inventory. If the book is not taken or the player keeps it open for a couple of seconds, it will be market as read.   Everything is working great. The INI file is installed and working properly so books, notes and journals will be larger and open a little faster.   Enjoy the Mod.  If you are updating from a previous version this will require a clean install.   Dwemer Dungeon in the works. If you have any issues with the Mod or would like to make a suggestion, please feel free to stop by DragonBlood's Clubhouse. If this Mod is going to be the best it can be, I need your input! https://discord.gg/BXbTb9eZcB   Settings:   The settings are done on a Black Book in Apocrypha.   A sample book will appear above with the selected shader, if that book is enabled.     You can choose to glow: Medium or High    Standard Books Glow Different Kinds of Blue to Light Blue.   Skill Books can be selected individually and glow: Honeycomb: Apothecary Red Hot Metal: Blacksmith Pure White: Priest Fog and Mist: Thief Blood Flames: Warrior Purple Rune Symbol: Wizard   Spell Tomes Have a Glowing Green Rune Symbol.   Track the nearest 128 books in any location. Books read from containers or the players inventory are marked as read. If the player reads a book from the menu that is glowing in the cell the book will stop glowing. Unread books dropped by the player will glow and be trackable. Very fast and stable. No errors in Papyrus.   The settings book will also check and reset the functions if necessary.   A crash or glitch during a cell change could affect the tracking function. If for some reason the books are not glowing when you enter a cell, just go to Apocrypha and reset the book.   CREDITS: Duggelz for creating one of the most popular Skyrim SE book mods and giving permissions for it to be used.  This was a lot of fun to remaster because Dugglez created a solid foundation to work from and had a great idea. Bethesda for the Skyrim Creation Kit. B.A.E. - Bethesda Archive Extractor The XEdit team.   PERMISSIONS: This Mod is not a port, it is a compete remaster, and is not to be uploaded to any other platform or site without permission. details.

Hey LeBurns,  That is a great question.
It is for the most part a difference in how it does what it does.
    1. This will be much faster and use less of your systems resources. The books will be lit up when the cell loads ( not blink on ).
    2. Work with all modded books. ( That are properly done )
    3. Can light up 128 books at a time.
    4. Has a much different tracking system. ( Tracking the players moments from cell to cell. )
    5. Much smaller file size.
    6. No SKSE
    7. It will track Books taken from chests, in real time, without SKSE. ( This has not been set up yet. )
Keep in mind, without SKSE the books that were read before the Mod was installed can not be tracked.
I am also going to, at some point, make it more immersive. Possibly create a dungeon where the book is located and a back story.

Believe it or not, most people (over 50% ) are probably using a smart phone.  On some sites it is over 80% smartphone. Then you have tablet and a small % on PC.  I actually checked this forum on smartphone and it looks pretty good but I did not look at any profile pics.  I much prefer PC.

Dragonblood reacted to Sclerocephalus in Little Jimmy's Papyrus Scripting Thread
This is bad, because it means that your script will need to evaluate the length of the array in every cycle of the loop. The only reason to do this would be in a case where the code in the loop changes the length of the array (though AFAIR, this is not possible in Skyrim scripting). To save the time for the superfluous array length evaluations, do it as follows:
len = QuestBooks.Length while i < len (do stuff) endWhile
