  1. Hey! Not much has changed for me since I was last on here, I'm still at university and living in a college and spending a lot of time nearly going insane trying to comprehend my law units. And being my usual liberal self. I haven't been gaming a great deal, there hasn't been much time and I've generally been playing Civilization (mods) when I get the chance. It's great to see that you've been having some success with the kickstarter project though. Anyway, re endorsements, ah, I see, that makes a lot of sense. I'm surprised I've missed running into that nag screen while I was using nexus to check that stuff out, there must be a ton of mods I never endorsed.
  2. A couple of days a go I went on tesnexus for the first time in...I dunno, a year or so, to have a look at how my mods were doing. I was really surprised by how many endorsements (and downloads, but I don't really remember how many there were in the first place) they'd gotten since then, they all seemed to have 5-10 times as many as they did when I left. Plus some other odd things, like my second UL having half as many downloads as my first but more endorsements. Obviously this was also the case with every other oblivion mod I checked out (the UL compilation has certainly been popular), but I'm still surprised at how many people seem to still be using these things. Has there been an influx of people back to playing modded Oblivion after the popularity of Skyrim or something? iirc correctly a similar thing happened after Fallout 3 was released.
  3. Well, today has taught me that I have completely and utterly forgotten how various important principles of oblivion modding work. Or the fact that creature templates exist and that I used them in Crowded Cities Improved, to be more precise. (I'm just helping a guy get a script to prevent the player for interacting in NPC's to work, but yeah, its turned out to be a (re) learning experience for myself as well)
  4. It should be a mod 'Adoring Fan and the Lion's Den'. *SPOILER* God doesn't intervene and save him.
  5. And not just a legend, but an inspiration to many others.
  6. My brain is melting...anyone know an Australian court case that considers a provision that ordered mandatory life sentencing. Anyone? Please? Wow, what were the chances that no-one here had any idea?

    1. Arthmoor

      Arthmoor

Does that mean you guys don't have mandatory life sentences?

We have it for murders (in some circumstances, like for killing a police officer or if you go about the killing in some extreme horrific manner), and for being behind large scale drug trafficking. Both of which I'm completely favorable towards.

  7. Heh, I'm in the seventh circle of law student hell at the moment (they call it LAW109; Criminal Justice and Procedure) and I don't have much time to do anything else at the moment. Particularly since they've got me writing a nine page analysis of prostitution law in Australia in accordance with a ridiculously restrictive and frequently contradictory instructions, which is driving me to the brink of insanity (the whole prostitution law thing was an accident; when I signed up to this particular module in the unit I thought it would be about human trafficking by shady organisations that order hits on the people who are investigating them, but apparently not). I am in no happy fun place.
  8. *wishes he had time to play Oblivion these days* *particularly now that WalkerinShadows, with help from Vorians and Arthmoor, has finished the central quest in his second UL mod* *also wishes that gamebryo didn't make his FO3 install unplayable after about 10 hours into a save game*
  9. We're stacks of scam telemarketer calls at the moment over the 'government solar panel rebate' Except you need to give the Indian guy on the phone your credit card details before you are eligible to receive them. Well, I think its the case anyway because I hang up on these pricks before they get a chance to explain themselves.
  10. And I'll third (or fourth) the WinRAR is completely fine with z7 files notion.
  11. Working on my current law assessment, can, in my opinion, be fairly compared to having a stomach ulcer. Although, as I have never had a stomach ulcer I don't think my opinion counts for anything in this case.

    1. Arthmoor

Here's to hoping you don't end up with said ulcer just to find that out!

      Here's to that to!

  12. I've now personally seen proof that Windows 8 is indeed a very nice machine on a touchscreen computer...but as I have no intention of getting such a machine, I'm with Arthmoor and the 'cold dead hands' thing.
  13. A guy who I used to go to school with died two days ago in a motorcycle crash. My sympathies only extend so far as he crashed while being pursued by police. And for that matter, it happened in suburbia, a short distance from my home (not the college I'm staying at, which is hours away). Oh, and he was 16, on a learners motorbike licence. Everyone, of course, is rushing to abuse the police and an investigation against them has been launched, but I'm not quite so sure about the 'it must be everyone but the victims fault' mindset that's immediately taken up whenever something like this happens.
  14. As of today I have officially started uni. Although, as it turns out the first week is a bit of a party designed to make you comfortable with your new venue.
