About This File

Have you ever played "Dead Island 1 (Definitive Edition)" and said to yourself, "Why do I have to significantly repair a lead pipe just because I've hit a zombie 20-25 times with it?" And you'd be right; It's a lead pipe. You shouldn't have to repair a lead pipe as often as your grandfather goes to the bathroom regardless of how many homerun swings you take at a crowd of zombies. Or, for that matters, any other weapon. And, with this file, you never* ("never" meaning "so close to 'never' that it may as well be 'never' unless you're one of those lawyer-types who enjoy being anal-retentive about such things") have to worry about weapon degradation ever again. And, even if you do, you can merely repair it.

Instructions: Un-7zip the file (Data3.pak) and place it into your "Steam/steamapps/common/DIDE/DI/" directory. It's the exact same directory that Data0.pak & Data1.pak are in. Start the game. Enjoy never having to worry about scrounging for weapons or worrying about the cash to repair weapons ever again.

To Un-install: Delete Data3.pak. Start game. Enjoy spending a good chunk of your time scrounging for weapons and staring at a workbench repairing them instead of killing zombies.

Future Plans: If I can ever figure it out, I'd love to get rid of the "your flashlight lasts about 15 seconds before it needs to shut down because lithium-ion batteries aren't a thing in the Dead Island universe" gameplay mechanic.
