About This File

Open Cities Skyrim is a comprehensive project that aims to bring back at least part of the feel of Morrowind - specifically how most of the cities were a natural part of the world and you could just walk in without loading screens. The added immersion and realism goes a long way, probably a lot more than you might think. Ever wanted to ride your horse into the center of Riften? Well now you can. Need to get some help from the city guards to vanquish a foe? Run toward the gates and the guards will do their duty while you can seek safety within the walls. The town guards make for some very interesting interactions this way. This will also make running dragon battles that much more interesting since the flow of the battle won't be interrupted by the loading screen and all of the city guards can be involved at the same time.

Patches In The Patch Archive

CL Cities - Whiterun: Adjusts navmesh data and makes copies of objects from CL Whiterun into the open worldspace.
Skyrim Sewers 4: Provides access to the sewer areas from the open city spaces.
Drinking Fountains of Skyrim: Copies the drinking fountain objects into the open city spaces. Patch written by Hanaisse.

how do you install this on mod organizer?

i made an account just for this and i cant get it to run also fuck nexus

i think its because you guys have Skyrim SE and not the basic one

I think there is something wrong with the patch for this mod (I'm still really new to modding) and I keep on seeing archive broken and after trying to unzip the file it says its damaged or broken

Brunwulf Free Winter's house in Windhelm is still having LOD issues and I cannot find a patch for this anywhere for LE

Where did the Open cities mod from nexus go? i cant find the version for special edition anywhere

While always having many of your mods in my load order, I avoided this mod years ago cause I had a potato computer(I shouldn't have been able to run Skyrim having something like 15 FPS standing still. Still not sure how I did it.). I have long since upgraded to... well, a mid grade at best, but an upgrade non-the-less. While I like the idea of no load screens, somewhere in the back of my mind, I kept remembering something about FPS hits(I know, I just read your README). So I didn't consider using this mod until I found Redbag's Solitude.

So... Would you be willing to add a FOMOD installer that allows for city selection? Because I also want to use Capital Windhelm Expansion. If not, is removing a city myself as easy as removing the desired file tree in xedit then opening it in CK and re-saving?

I realize I posted this in the wrong version of this mod but I figured it will be read either way.

There are new rules on the Nexus that many mod authors disagreed with and so several mod authors removed their content. I to am curious about the special edition version. I thought I checked myself before posting this, but its in the Skyrim Special Edition section.

I use SSE LOD Gen... should I turn off Open Cities and run SSE LOD Gen then turn it back on and run it again?

Hey, so do you mean there's a Skyrim Special Edition section on Ark Mods where I can download the SE version of this? Is it on this page? I just made an account, sorry for the trouble.

At the top of this screen, below your login name you will see: Home > Downloads > Skyrim > Cities, Towns & Villages > Open Cities Skyrim

click on Downloads and you will see a screen which you can select which version you want. No trouble, happy gaming.

Not sure if you can help, but i have an issue in skyforge where there's this random work bench blocking one of the entrances. Only city overhaul mods I'm using is Open Cities, JK's Skyrim, and ETAC. I downloaded all the compatibility patches from what i can tell. Any idea what might be causing this?

You'll have to ask the people who made those patches because the entryway isn't part of OCS, and I'm pretty sure the workbench isn't in that position with OCS either.

Thanks for the response Arthmoor, I added another pic from MFG console before reading your response ... i guess that helps me pinpoint which patcher to speak to

Is anyone else seeing this error when using Open Cities Skyrim with the latest version of Vortex?

Apologies if this one isn't repacked for SE and AE. I may have been making an assumption from reading above. I also don't see that there is a different version, but I may have missed it.
