Floating Island Of Legends 1.0.1

About This File

Floating Island of Legends SE is a port and remake of my mod for Skyrim LE. The main island and the two satelite islands are for the most untouched, although with various additions. The island is based on Umbriel, the mysterious floating city, whose shadow spawns a terrifying undead army, as written in Greg Keyes' books The Infernal City and Lord of Souls.
This mod continues the story of the floating city after its destruction when Prince Attrebus Mede managed to get a few parts in a stationary position above the Whiterun plains, west of Fort Greymoor. Originally there were only  sort of Dwemer ruins on the main island but later a farmhouse, an outdoor kitchen and a small farmhouse were built. On the west side of the island you will find a docking station for a Dwemer airship. As opposed to the story in Greg Keyes' books, the Ingenium which keeps Umbriel floating, was not completely destroyed and the sword Umbra was saved from destruction by Attrebus Mede.

Access to the island is available through a well with a blue beam near Lone Mountain, west of Fort Greymoor. To start the first “questless” quest, go to the basement of the larger farmhouse and read the journal on the table. No questmarkers! You have to completely rely on clues in journals, letters and notes. Quests are updated by reading those and by triggers. There are 4 questless quests in total.

See the enclosed PDF file for some info about the quests and the features of this mod.

Various assets are missing and accouple mods that pertain to those assets are deleted. MuppetPuppet: Dwemer airship being one of them i dont know if InsanitySorrow: Dwemer resources has been deleted or if the author forgot the whole title. accouple others are for oblivion and I am unsure if there included or not already. can anyone provide a fix or clarification where applicable here?

I have checked the BSA file in the download, but all the required meshes, textures and scripts are in the BSA file. Assets used from Oblivion resources have been optimized with SSE Nif Optimizer. There is no need to use the mods from MuppetPuppet or InsanitySorrow, these are free modders resources.

i figured it out... you need to remove "data" from your bsa and move texture, meshes, and scripts folders to the front. i extracted the bsa your mod includes and adding it loose in the order described made the textures and meshes pop back in as they should

(forgot the game hates when you back up that far in the file structure and will put another data directory in the data directory if it sees it which is why i pulled my other comment)

however the dwemer tower now has some purple issues and im able to fall through the airship (unsure if that's intended or not) <--- figured this one out too, you missed a handfull of assets from morrowind dwemmer resources a couple of which are used by you (probably be a safer bet to add all of them regardless of if there being used or not). as for the airship i just use the disable button and use the airship mod because even with the proper assets i just fall through it, intentional or not this breaks immersion.

Thanks! Now I know for sure never to create an archive with the Creation Kit.

I wonder why noone else has discovered this (over 60 downloads).

I will check the other issues and try to update the mod today.

Uploaded a new version: loose files instead of a BSA file. No problems with the airship.

I'm afraid I'm too late for that now. I should have done that before uploading. I will try to remember to add a version number to the file name.

Thanks again!
