Adds six new stables to Skyrim

Each stable has at least 5 different horses to choose from

Horses are 1.5x faster than vanilla and marked essential.  They also run from danger not towards it.  Most predators will ignore them.  (I know the last is not realistic, but I like a peaceful ride. )

 

Cleaned with XEdit, meshes optimized with SE Nif opt

Load order: -- Load this after all horse related mods.

If you have Honeystrand Meadery -- Load that after this mod.

Details

Adds new stables to Skyrim – Falkreath opposite the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary, outer Rorikstead (just down the road from Rorikstead going towards Whiterun), outer Dragon Bridge (down the road from Dragon Bridge towards Whiterun), Shor’s Stone, Kynesgrove, Markarth (up the hill from the farm fast travel marker is enabled from the start), Ivarstead (on the way to Riften near Imperial Camp)

This is fully compatible with More Stables, Lesser Hold Stables and Convenient Horses.   Not compatible with Immersive Horses, needs a patch for that, something I don’t have the time to make.  If someone wants to make a patch, feel free.  Just let me know so I can link it here.

No uploads to other sites without express permission.  You may not upload this mod to the Nexus so please don’t bother to ask. 

There is an xbox version on Bethesda.net, and the Oldrim or Classic Skyrim version on Steam.

 

There are 6 free stallions and 7 free mares with their foals you can find. The added stables have clues (letters and/or journals) -- look inside the tent on the table. (if you don't see anything there, check the stable owner's chest or knapsack.) A couple of the vanilla stables have clues too -- look for a strongbox outside the stable owner's house called 'Letters'. (You can take any clues you find without stealing.)

All the mares and stallions have papers and a short explanation as to why they're abandoned. Most of them also have leveled and unique items on or near their deceased owners or deceased owner's knapsacks.

Most of the horses only have one clue, a couple have clues that lead you to more clues if you need them.

Mares and foals will follow each other and should be together. Search the area the clue indicates/states. Horses sometimes rush away from danger.

Hi I used to have this mod back when it was available on Nexus.
I started playing Skyrim again and miss this mod terribly, Im super glad I found it again but I have no idea how to install it without a modmanager ^u^' 

Would love to get some help with that, thanks <3

Update: I added the files from the mod into a .zip file. Then in Vortex I choose "Install from file" and choosed the .zip file. Then I made sure through Vortex that the "Swift Steeds" mod was loaded last in the "Deploy order". And then the mod just worked without issues when I loaded up my save file. :)

I can not even express how happy I am to see this on here. I used this always on Xbox and just recently switched to pc. Being able to use this once more is just beyond words, so thank you, thank you, thank you, for allowing the pc community to enjoy your work once more <3

Do you know of any patches to reduce the grass around your stables? I just finished getting my mods updated and working with AE and visited the Falkreath stable, after installing Folkvangr and Origins of the Forest. I haven't gone to any of the other stables yet, but while the horses were mostly visible, the rest of the site was completely overgrown, especially the area with the tent and cooking spit. I'd really rather not remove the grass mods if I don't have to, but I haven't had any luck yet finding a solution. Any pointers would be great! Othan this little issue (which I can live with, even if it's hard to find things in the foliage ;) ) I love your mod and the variety of horses and locations.

I found a mod to fix the grass situation for anyone else who needs it. Try No Grassias - A Universal Grass Fix For Grass Mods. It fixed everything right up. There's still some grass around the stables, but it's mostly back to what it should be.

I still have the old ESP (From Nexus) for compatibility with Immersive horses can I use that with this version or is it outdated compared to the version here?

it's the same as this file with added compatibility for Immersive Horses.  But Immersive Horses changed and if you have the newest version of IH then my IH compatible version no longer works with the newest version of IH.

This mod is honestly one of my favorites. I actually had to search around for it after it got removed from the nexus. I have been using it since before special edition was a thing. It compliments a lot of horse mods and the wild horses creation club content pretty well.

I used this mod some years before I made a brake ob Skyrim.

No  I will rebuild the LE-Version.

No chance to see the SLE-Version here on AFK, or back on Nexus? I can`find it on steam.
