ESO Skyshards 2.2.2

6 Screenshots

About This File

Long ago, during the second era in the time of the Planemeld, adventurers sought out whatever power they could gain to aid in their battle against Molag Bal. Among these items of power were Skyshards, presumably made available by the gods for those who were dedicated to exploring both the hidden and mundane corners of Tamriel. Not much is truly known about them, but in these trying times of dragons and civil war, the Skyshards have once again appeared for the Last Dragonborn to discover and augment his power.

ESO Skyshards places several shards throughout the province of Skyrim, including Dawnguard areas and Solstheim. Much like the ones from ESO itself, once you collect 3, you will earn 1 perk point to spend as you see fit. There are 6 in each section, for a total of 66 shards amounting to 22 extra perk points. That may seem like a lot, but by the time you've found them all you'll likely be pretty high level anyway so it balances out in the end. Sorry, beyond the 3 screenshots displayed for the mod, I will not reveal the locations of all of the shards. They do not have map markers either, and there are no plans to provide any. They are located in a mix of easy areas and hard areas so they should prove to be quite a challenge to locate.

This mod will go especially well with mods that expand the number of perks you can use as well as perk overhauls that expand the number of points required to obtain perks.

This mod requires external assets and is therefore not possible to port to PS4. Sorry.

Requires the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to be installed first!

Probably a dumb question but this is likely a new game only mod, right?

I am getting a CTD with DBM_ESOSkyshards_Patch when traveling to Solstiem.  Removing the patch lets me travel to solstiem.  I am pretty certain it is because it is set as a .esl esp and is a master for Wyrmstooth and other patches.

Heyya just wondering if this is still compatible with the LOTD display patch on Nexus.  The patch is for version 2.2 and I see here this mod is now on 2.2.1 do you know if this update has changed anything that would make it incompatible / broken?  Thanks!

P.S. I would ask the person who made the patch but they have disabled comments since they no longer want to update the patch.

Kindly asking if the patches/add-ons for Falskaar and Wyrmstooth are still available?  I tried to locate them here on AFK, but could not find them. Thank you!

They are. Just click the download file button above, and you'll get to download the patches in question.

Used this mod for years and love it.

Out of curiosity, were you also involved in the Skyshards mod on Nexus uploaded by Deadmano?

Seemed like probably no but was weird that the Nexus one was published a year or two after this mod...

I have been able to add this after I've started a play-through based on a mod collection without any issues. At least, so far.

I seem to remember this having an MCM menu entry, yet it's not there.

I would like to know this aswell before I install it. I have used this mod before and loved it but that was pre when I played with LOTD which upon playing with that, I cant now play without it! So what exactly is the issue with this mod and LOTD?  Id like to install skyshards before I get too much further into the new game play since I changed to linux and just started a new game using LOTD

Looks like there's a typo in the wizards.txt that prevents MO2 from installing it directly. Just wanted to chime in.

Yeah, on line 15. Endif instead of EndIf.

for people struggling to get this working with LOTD. your mod manager isn't finding all the .esp's but they are there. open the archive and grab the folders (main, falskaar, wyrmstooth, BSBruma) and drag them first to your desktop (vortex wouldn't let me go straight from the archive to it) and then into your mod manager. you may want to rename them to include skyshards in the name so you don't wonder what they are later. these instructions are probably helpful to people not using LOTD too especially if they're on Vortex. i was only getting skyshards.esp before which means the skyshards in Falskaar and Wyrmstooth weren't going to be in game.

So this version is supposed to be installed manually, as my NMM doesn't install anything as there is no FOMOD, or better to say, the whole structure of the archive will be copied into the data directory.

BTW, with Practice Dummies it is working as it should and prompts to select if you want to install for Falskaar and/or Wyrmstooth ... and NMM installs the relevant files only.

NMM is technically obsolete.

This mod has been packaged for use in Wrye Bash primarily and therefore does not have a FOMOD installer.
