1. Description

This mod is a joint effort to fix the vast amount of bugs currently existing in Oblivion Remastered. If you're experiencing a bug with Oblivion Remastered and it's not fixed by our mod please by all means report the bug to us in as much detail as possible so we can try fix it!

Warning: Only use the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch with the version of Oblivion Remastered is was created for! Using it on an older or newer version of Oblivion Remastered may cause bugs or things not to be fixed that were advertised as such!

3. Installation (Wrye Bash)

1.) Copy the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch.7z into the folder you use for Wrye Bash installers. The default for this would be C:\Steam\steamapps\common\OblivionRE Mods.
2.) In the Installers tab, make sure the UORP file is at the top of the package list. Right click on it, select "Move To" and use slot 0.
3.) Left click on the file after it's moved. Then right click on the file and select "Install".
4.) Once installed, enable the .esp files you selected via the Mods tab. It is recommended to run LOOT at this point to verify load order placement.

If you are updating the UORP from an older version, after making sure Step 2 is done, you can right click the archive file and select "Anneal" and it will update the files accordingly while also preserving anything later in your setup that needs to override them.

4. Installation (Manual Version)

1a.) For Steam Users: Extract Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch.7z into your C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data\ folder.
1b.) For Game Pass Users: Extract Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch.7z into your C:\XboxGames\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data\ folder.
2.) In any standard text editor, open the Plugins.txt file that is present in the Data folder you just unpacked the archive contents into. Immediately after AltarESPLocal.esp, add Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch.esp and save the file.
3.) Launch the game and enjoy your more bug-free experience.

If you are upgrading from an older version, then in step 1 all you need to do is overwrite the old file with the updated one and launch the game afterward.

Manual installation of this or any other mod is STRONGLY discouraged. You should make use of Wrye Bash or another mod manager utility if at all possible.

5. Uninstalling (Wrye Bash)

1.) Launch Wrye Bash, go to the Installers tab.
2.) Right click on the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch package, select uninstall. That should be it.

Uninstalling the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch in the middle of a current save is not recommended. Doing so should only be done if you plan to start a new character.

6. Uninstalling (Manual)

1.) Go to the steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data\ folder and remove Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch.esp.
2.) Remove the edit you made when installing the mod from your Plugins.txt file.

Uninstalling the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch in the middle of a current save is not recommended. Doing so should only be done if you plan to start a new character.

7. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Question: I see so many red conflicts with the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch and other mods!!! Will my game explode?!?
Answer: Nope! The UORP is designed to load right after the official content files. Thus changes from other mods will override it as intended.

Q: Will I have to start a new game for the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch to work?
A: Nope, the fixes where made to work on both new and existing games through some very minor changes (position of some objects) will only work in a new game or if you haven't visited that area in the game yet, really not worth restarting over.

Q: Can I use the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch with non-English versions of the game?
A: Yes, this should be fine. All text referenced in our records have included the localization tags provided by the AltarESMMain.esp file. There may be a slight few where this wasn't practical and those will show up in game with an [NL] tag in front.

Q: So I have an older version of the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch, should I uninstall it first before upgrading or just upgrade over the top?
A: Yes, you can just overwrite the previous version with the new one. There are scripts provided in the file which will take care of any retroactive updates.

Q: Do I need to use previous versions of the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch to get all the fixes?
A: Nope, the latest version includes all previous fixes.
