Sutch Village 1.0.6

About This File

As many are aware, Bethesda once had plans to include the city of Sutch in the game. The E3 demos contained passing hints to its existence, the map loop in the game's intro had it marked NW of Kvatch, in the CS you can make out the land depression they prepared for it along with several cells tagged as being part of it, and it even has its own Oblivion gate.

For reasons unknown, it was cut from the game at the last minute and a ruined Fort Sutch plus the Oblivion gate is all that remains. As a result of this, several people have attempted reconstructions of the city. Plenty of projects have been abandoned, while others left their work for someone else to pick up.

This village mod is our take on restoring Sutch to the game. Based on extremely sketchy lore found in scattered places on the web, we arrived at the conclusion that the city itself has been destroyed and only a ruin is left behind. Rather than attempt to rebuild a large city over the top of a ruin, this mod takes the position that settlers have only recently come back to the area in an attempt to start over. There is a village northwest of Fort Sutch, containing a manor house along with some housing, an inn, some supporting farms, a vineyard, and an ebony mine. Yes, the only one known to still be functioning in Cyrodiil. The stuff can't only be available in Morrowind :)

Are you loading the 'ULM SutchVillage-LostCoast patch.esp' compatibility patch AFTER 'Unique Landscapes.esp'?

If not, you can find it on the UL Compatibility patch collection on Nexus.... Also I read that some people load the 'Sutch Village.esp' AFTER 'Unique Landscapes.esp'.. and then the patch, best bet is to check with BOSS.

Arthmoor, I found a mod on NexusMod that offers a patch for Reworked Posts and 4 of your village mods (Sutch, Reedstand, Gottshaw & Faregyl) You might want to mention that in your mod descriptions for those people that use Reworked Posts. The Mod # is 47299.

Sorry to bother you, but I completed the quests and got the big house (manor) in Sutch and am wondering where exactly at you get the weekly payments at or from?

I noticed that this mod adds in new clothing for the Sutch citizens. Unfortunately for users of the Seamless - OCOv2 mod (which uses Roberts Male and HGEC as a base), many vanilla neck and arms seams are introduced for the new clothing.

I read its page and that mod is incompatible with anything. Seamless needs to change rather than all other mods that include clothing.

There's no practical way to go about this that wouldn't then trigger demands to support every other body mod too. Which simply isn't going to happen.

I just tried this mod for the first time. I'm pleased with it; it's a non-disruptive addition to an area of the game that doesn't normally have a lot of content

I noticed 2 things missing and I'm wondering if it's intended or if I messed up the installation: voice files for the new dialogue & updated in-game map that includes the new roads

Dialogue is silent, and there are no map files included, so you haven't missed anything.

Neither of these things are easy to do. Voice lines because you'd need actual voice actors (not AI - we don't play that game here) to do the work and those are not so easy to come by these days.

Maps are a whole special thing because integrating with the rest of the game and any other mods you may also have is basically impossible even with map mods designed for this purpose. Those mods still have to have someone carve up a piece of the map and then it probably won't match the style in use either.

This last is what I had to do. With Sutch first, UL second, and the patch third I got a large boulder blocking the corner of the boardwalk at the docks. UL first then Sutch then patch and the problem went away. Not sure if I even need the patch but it's working for now so I'm leaving it.

Have not done much but check it to see if it is working but looks like an awesome mod Arthmoor, kudos!
